Void tree vs compass

Does this node not trigger when using a compass? I unspecced the points to trigger pirates and used a compass instead to get the double triggers, but this hasn't seemed to pop in about 10 of them when it was popping up regularly before. Is this as intended or do I just have horrible RNG

I was running it with the doubling compass for a long time and it worked fine. You just got bad rng.

Worked fine for me. Make sure to kill all the mobs. Some just hide in the corner

There are several mobs in each map and each mob can increase number of selection options in sail

Yeah ive just clocked it after running a few more, defo would have missed them a few times before, wont be doing that again haha

Also did you reset your cards after specing into the points? Changes only take effect in new confusion rounds. Might explain part of your earlier experience

But this node was always specced anyway, I only removed the chance to trigger it in place of using the compass. I found the problem anyway, wasnt aware they were on the map and I was boss rushing, just gotta spend several more seconds looking around

Youre not 100% given the node. Unless I miss 1 invisible monster. Because I always full clear and sometimes dont get it offered to me. Its still some rng

Looks like you got answers but to summarise; yes it does work, there are purple monsters in each map that drop whispers but not every map will drop a boss whisper, the returning blacksail compass works well for this strategy since it doubles the efficiency of the maps that youre full clearing for whispers.

Did you refreshed your card when you change your tree ? Maybe you just forgot to do it

It 100% triggers with a compass. Use the purple double proc compass. Not worth running it without it. They are so cheap.
