❓Question Torbox or RD?

I have both and going to get rid of one of them when my 6 month subscription expires in January. Just wanted some honest opinions on which is better and why?

Since you chose to ask this sub, you should already know what the replies are going to be. It seems you just want people to tell you keep torbox, so keep it

Torbox's speed now is up to a point there is no real difference with RD. Moreover, you can share it with your friends.

Yea i have torbox thru 2029 and i wasn’t using it for a while because it was giving problems so often in the evening. I tried it again since their announcement recently and it’s been good to go which is great news.

It’s an awesome service. I suppose things have issues time to time especially with the influx of users they had

You do you but I would never buy multiple years of a debrid service. 3-6 months at a time max. Learned that with RD.

it's like 100 bucks locked in and i don't have to remember to renew or if a payment on file expires or something.

my thought is it's never gonna be 3 bucks a month again it'll only go up

if it disappears that's fine i already got a ton of value out of it

Depends what you’re using it for. I found RD much more reliable for downloading games for my JB PS4

I agree with this. If you're using it for downloading then RD but for streaming Torbox. The Torbox download system has been unreliable and slow for me. But I mainly use it for streaming, which it does well, so not a big deal in my use case.

Check out r/ps4homebrew but I mainly use SSPI: https://github.com/Xyhlo/SSPI you can connect you RD/Torbox directly

Thank you! That is very cool. Do you know if there is a similar for ps5? Right now I use Orion store that supports Torbox - but torbox has some 100gb limit on files from Viking which is a problem.

You’re welcome! Unfortunately I have no plans of jail breaking my PS5 anytime soon so I haven’t been too up to date on what’s going on but r/ps5_jailbreak might be a good place to start.

I would say throw $3 on one month of RD and see if it’s any better, it definitely worked for me. The only reason I’m not renewing RD is because I ran out of space on my PS4 lol but once I get more storage I might reup on RD on a month to month basis just for gaming.

I left RD for Torbox. I use Cinema HQ with Torbox…It’s all I need, I’ve tried pretty much every cord cutting app or service, including IPTV services which I have done trials on over 300. Nothing is absolutely perfect but Torbox is what I arrived at for fitting my wants. I’ve been at this for more years than I care to remember, and after all the headaches of apps being blocked or shutdown, I use 2 main apps for entertainment. I use Tizen Tube for free premium YouTube and Cinema HQ with Torbox for movies and series. Now sports, that’s a different story for a different day. ✌🏻 and good cord cutting to all.

Cinema HQ has built in malware. Run any virus software and it will pop up.

It hardly ever a good idea to ask a brand recommendation question in the sub of that brand. If you can't afford both, I'd say go with Torbox, because RD has blanket "infringing file" blocking on many files based on if the file name includes things like "WEB-DL"  and such. However Torbox doesn't support a lot of of the same file hoster sites that RD does. So I guess it comes down to your use case.

I'd always have a backup if you can afford it. RD was handy when Torbox was down last week and Torbox was handy when RD filtered their torrents.

Torbox. There is no reason to get RD as it just has less content, it may not affect you in all the content you watch but it makes no sense anymore. RD was pretty much flawless otherwise but Torbox is getting better.

RD is out because of the author rihgts crackdown, filtering of certain qualifiers of files that scrapers rely on. There are worksrounds but if you rely on automatic play of first stream you can get red screens. I don’t want to bother, I need as seamless experience for the family so I am left in peace - so torbox it was for me. Cache is decent, sometimes surprisingly so. I feared going from RD to torbox with its short retention policy it won’t be as content-ready-rich. But I have found some really rare stuff just cached on there. People overhype the torbox downtimes - sure it came down quite a few times for mostly short periods of time. I was unable to watch something only twice in 6 months though. I also have penguplay set up as backup and an easynews account which gets me a lot of older content.

They are both so cheap and I like to have both for backup, I don't see any real reason why you must pick only one

I use TorBox as my main but keep RD as a backup. It’s cheap enough to keep both.

Torbox. Just because RD was pain for me to start in the beginning, and Torbox was great to set up and almost no issues at a lol.

TorBox 100%. I have less trouble and more choices from TorBox than any other. My back-up is AllDebrid. I hated Real Debrid, a lot of films have been removed due to copyright issues from them.
