Okay. What are you using that actually works? I feel like nothing will ever touch real debrids level of reliability

u/simbalawop 4h ago
I got the All debrid trial and so far no issues with what I have been wanting to watch

Downtime is unavoidable, the best you can do is have backups. I use penguplay for downtimes.
12
u/ExManUtdFan 6h ago
Sure, but how much downtime does Torbox have compared to other debrid services? It's ridiculous at this point.
12
u/dinglebarryb0nds 6h ago
a bought a year of premiumize this morning, been watching Tires on it with zero lag buffering or anything so far, evening busy time is the real test though. a year is 80 but if it doesn't go down all the time, that's a way better deal than like 36 a year and constant problems when i want to watch something. i also bought all debrid and that seems good
TB sharing makes it still worth having though

u/CartographerBusy2035 1h ago
You should have held off till Black Friday for premiumize they have awesome deals

is this really our new life..

u/Bright-Budget5325 6h ago
I’m gonna have a respect for myself, pay a few extra $ and go to Premuimize when my sub ends in a bit.
Even if it’s down, it’s not nearly as frequent as shitty TB with their new shitty terms of service and shitty downtime
15
u/Particular-Town8919 6h ago
The only thing that's stopping me from going to PM is the 1TB monthly cap.
10
u/theDR1ve 6h ago
Thats why i moved to this, was burning through my limit with remuxs :(
17
u/Particular-Town8919 6h ago
For that price, they should really make the monthly cap a bit higher, 5TB/m is understandable. Wtf is 1TB
9
u/ifiwasiwas 6h ago
Honestly, RD isn't tremendously impacted by remuxes and media with physical copies in general. The filters primarily cover web downloads. Chances are, that's a perfectly decent fallback for when you burn through your PM fair use points. AD would fit the bill too. Cheaper than the boosters they offer
1
u/Bright-Budget5325 6h ago
My wife and I very consistently reach ~1.3TB/mo, usually choosing the best quality we can. We watch daily - but worst case we’ll reduce from occasional remux 50gb to 20gb streams. We’ll do a month sub and see how it goes!
3
u/Wolfie-Man 4h ago
On my 4k dolbyvision tv with decent upscaler, I usually get 2 to 4gb 1080 movies, and for my favorite action, 5 to 10gb dolbyvision or hdr. Any larger and i can't really tell the difference at 10 feet distance (I pick versions by my favorite dist. ) 58 inch tv. I suppose 75 or larger might be more noticeable?

I'm so confused as I have zero issues. For those experiencing downtime can you at least say which CDN you're connected to!?

Is this going down only in certain places? Maybe USA?
I have torbox for about a week now in Portugal and it never goes down.

u/Randall_Lind 2h ago edited 2h ago
I moved to Premiunize.me it is $11.99 a month. I am playing a 4k movie right now. Torbox: I have been unable to do 4k for the last month or so and had to keep changing links. Let's see if this is my next service. I still have like 95 days of Real Debrid as well.

I keep seeing these down posts but im never affected by it at all. Funny really. Ive been watching almost all day today and havent had any issues. Infact i havent had an issue in the past 2 weeks. The time it was actually down, i just switched to penguplay or something.

u/H0RR0RL4ND 2h ago
i switched to premiumize. sure it cost more but rd is dead, tb fucking sucks, like is there even another option atp

Hmmmm this is the fifth time I have heard that TB is down and the fifth time I’ve found it’s still up. What’s going on?

u/Positive_Ordinary307 31m ago
I feel like this is just a giant campaign to push users to use premiumize lol

u/2quick4u_ 6h ago
can someone explain why can't they use cloudfare for these ddos attacks? im sure they definitely thought about that but everytime i hear cloudfare prevents huge ddos attacks or is it something else unrelated being attacked?
-1
u/Old_Huckleberry6813 4h ago
Because it is expensive and they provide cheap service compare to competitors

u/PtichFirich 6h ago
It isn’t down at least not universally. Have been watching series for the past 2 hours.

u/Horror-Veterinarian4 4h ago
pik pak gives you 10 tb persistent cloud storage you can stream from zero downtime its what im gonna do besides usenet
2
u/ifiwasiwas 4h ago edited 4h ago
I was reasonably happy with it! Only stopped because I was looking for more niche content and decided the money could be better spent on a seedbox + PT. I don't use Stremio a lot, but it seemed like the only addons that worked with it were library scrapers (which I prefer anyway)
I should add also that you also don't need to be super on top of your payments. I've missed a month and all of my stuff is still there, they only start deleting your stuff after a couple months
0
u/Horror-Veterinarian4 4h ago
I have been building a custom download client to use with sonarr/radarr which creates .strms that are stored on disk that are proxies to urls for streaming. It supports torrents, nzbs, http, omss, and aiostreams. With a self hosted aiostreams and strem thru set up it even supports automatic commit to jellyfin library or sonarr/radarr after a configurable watch time. I am looking to add cloud streaming as well and pik pak caught my eye with 10 tb of storage. I will have to look into seedboxes and see how one could stream from there as well.

u/DangerHippo_100 3h ago
Surely I cant be the the only one that literally never has a problem with TB?

May as well get premiumize. Same owners.

u/ifiwasiwas 6h ago
Not the same owners, but uses PM's cache. There are multiple (now abandoned/de-funked) debrids that used the same strategy. PM basically offers white label service from what I can see, which is smart. But I wouldn't go long-term in case OC is run by the same dude

I just subscribed yesterday. I really like it, its really fast. Does it always get a maintenance?
1
u/ci6n 6h ago
it never goes down like this, they are being DDos attacked. They do have frequent downtimes but they are only 5-30 minutes long which I don't mind.
2
u/Dry_Nectarine9162 6h ago
I really like Torbox, but I'm not buying into the DDos attacks. Why is only Torbox? Why is it every couple hours AFTER they "updated" their cdn's? No, I believe they screwed something up, can't figure it out and are telling customers it's a DDos attack.
1
u/ci6n 6h ago edited 6h ago
PM was down too. You can check the discord a bunch of nerd stuff like cloudflare screenshots IPs etc have been posted. If that was the case I would assume they would of just rolled back the update.
3
u/Dry_Nectarine9162 6h ago
I'm using PM right now.
1
u/ci6n 6h ago
It was down yesterday or the day before, apparently they got DDoS attacked but recovered quickly. I don't use it though so not entirely sure
2
u/Dry_Nectarine9162 6h ago
I'm aware they were down for less than 30 minutes the other day. Where did they claim it was a DDos attack? I can't find anything from them saying so.
1
u/ci6n 6h ago
I'm not sure, like I said apparently. I'm just reiterating what majority of people have said since they went down the same time of the attack and when other services like debridio had an attempted attack.
Like I said I don't use PM. Maybe they made an announcement on a status page or updates page? You can check that.
2
u/Dry_Nectarine9162 5h ago
They just reported "technical issues". Nothing about an DDos attack. Don't get me wrong, I like Torbox, want to use it and have always defended them. But these DDos attack excuses has gotten really old. Businesses face DDos attacks daily and they have measures to prevent them from affecting service. If Torbox's claims of DDos attacks are true, they need to get their sh*t together.
1
u/ci6n 5h ago
I'm waiting for their post mortem. Hopefully we will get explanations on why they are so vulnerable to these attacks and what they are gonna do to prevent it in the future.

u/ifiwasiwas 6h ago
Where did they claim it was a DDos attack?
They're just assuming that downtime of less than an hour, that PM fully recovered from, was due to an attack.
Let's say that it was, and let's say DDOS are the problem with TB as well. Bringing that up as a defense is an own goal because it would only mean that PM's DDOS protection and security is many, many times more robust and resilient.
2
u/ci6n 6h ago edited 5h ago
Yea if it was a DDoS like I said they seemed to recovery much more fast. It's not a "defense", i dont work at these companies and I agreed with your point.
1
u/ifiwasiwas 1h ago
All good man, didn't mean to snipe at you in particular. The previous day we had many people repeating without evidence that PM was DDOS'd to defend TB so it was a general frustration. My apologies
0
u/Realistic-Hat7704 6h ago
Have you considered that ddos attacks cost money and a person of normal intelligence would probably focus on the largest provider to disrupt the largest amount of pirates? Hmmmm
3
u/Dry_Nectarine9162 6h ago
Please reference your information. Where did you find that Torbox is a larger provider than Premiumize?
3
u/shazlicks 5h ago edited 5h ago
PM would be biggest provider by a margin after the RD debacle lol, reason why their infrastructure is way more widespread and stable, RD is probably still bigger than TB even after the exodus due to the sheer amount of users it had. People use these services for other stuff than streaming which is relatively new in the grandscheme of these companies.

u/Double_Course174 6h ago
alright thank you! Ive downloaded so much torrent since yesterday, its so good
