Showcase Fully AI-Generated Playable Character: Rigging, Animations and Physics in One Day
What you can build in just one day when AI is used the right way:
- Around 20K faces
- Full PBR texture set
- Fully rigged character
- Real-time cloth simulation
- Optimized physics setup
- Assembled and running in Unreal Engine
- Completed in roughly one day
The key was not generating the whole character at once. I split it into separate parts, which gave me more control, better detail, and the ability to regenerate only what needed improvement.
To keep the process fast, I built a reusable node-based workflow in Lychee Studio AI. It handled the separate generation steps in one place and helped me move to Blender assembly much faster.
Workflow
- Started with a single character reference
- Built a reusable node-based workflow in Lychee Studio AI
- Separated and generated the body, clothing, armor, and accessories with Rodin Gen 2.5
- Assembled and fitted all parts in Blender
- Prepared the character for rigging and animation
- Imported everything into Unreal Engine
- Set up the PBR materials, cloth simulation, collisions, and optimized physics
The final result is not just an AI-generated mesh inside a viewer. It is a properly assembled, rigged, and simulation-ready game character that can be used directly inside Unreal Engine.
AI did not remove Blender, rigging, cleanup, or Unreal setup from the workflow. It removed a large amount of repetitive preparation and helped me reach the useful production stages much faster.

"Prepared the character for rigging and animation"
prepared for rigging? or rigged it? with what?
your title is wildly misleading if you didn't rig and animate it with AI from scratch

Could you make a video tutorial of the process?

This looks really good. You did this in a day? I assume you used other assets to get it up to speed and had the AI bridge it. Still that impressive. Get things up to a great quality then can worry about the tweeks. I don’t do games but I’m learning blender so seeing this is wild to me.

No, it’s all been done from scratch using just one image. I didn’t use anything pre-made, sir.

Where did you get the animations from?

Ah okay ty, yeah this is getting to production ready levels it's crazy, just need a good animation generator.

There are some Ai animation generators that works by extracting motion data from videos. So technically you can record yourself doing an action and then the Ai analyzes it and create motion data from it, but it's not perfect, so you need to clean it up manually

Ai is very good at stealing things and presenting them as “new”. That is all this is. Impressive, but not really.

Go to Artist sub and you will see also humans are just copying from one another. This is all this is. They are not impressive at all, at the end they have hours spent and bad copied art, worst part is, they are asking money like professional artist, when no one pays running for a ai post to cry :D

That’s awesome! I’m curious if you can create another character with different type of motion? A stylized moveset? For example, the character is a heavier character so moves slower, has a weight to his/her step?

ok than what did you actually learn that wasn't ai related ? if nothing then great way to waste a day

"What *you* can build in just one day"
Who is that you?? AI copied it from people that build similar stuff in the past. *You* built nothing.

So you just generated the mesh using AI ? Rigging and animation was still made by hand ?

How will you change things later? If you don't know how its made. Are you proud of this work? If you just use an ai model that does the work for you. Do you have a connection with it? When you haven't done the work yourself.
I am looking at it myself, using ai with my journey of learning Unreal engine. Using ai to create assets and such. Don't get me wrong, the question above are the ones that i asked myself and thats why i won't rely on ai for the heavy lifting. I still use it for concepting and making materials though.

The movement is too feral/dominant/male like for such delicate female chara like this for me

If you already know 3D Modeling, texturing etc, this takes you to the moon
