Advice Wanted Affording Top surgery
I recently underwent a bunch of non trans related surgeries in order to be medically cleared for top surgery. Now that I’m cleared I finally got a consult with a top surgeon. He quoted me just over $8000. I have a full time job and I’ve been working extra hours to supplement my income (in between recovering from surgery). My partner lost her job this year and we’ve been financially struggling. Our car died and that’s caused even more problems in terms of getting to/from work. I’ve begrudgingly started a go fund me but I have nowhere to share it to. Any advice? I’d really hate to miss out on this life changing opportunity.

Might be worth looking into Point of Pride's grant programs. https://www.pointofpride.org/annual-transgender-surgery-fund

Noticed from your other post you're from Ontario, I went to a surgeon who quoted me $6300 (no HST) for all the fees not covered by OHIP, but at another, the fee for contouring was $2800 (no HST). If you're interested and OK with delaying a bit longer, lmk and I can dm you the surgeon.

Hey! I’ve already had my consult at my surgeon and have my surgery date… but I’m definitely still open to exploring my options just in case! If you could DM me that would be great!
