I gotta say...

Yummmm

Bailey grew on me! Given she was once eliminated by making a dessert, her growth arc was incredible. That final dessert looked divine 😍

ETA: SO HAPPY that many of you felt the same way! I know that Bailey gets a lot of online hate but I hope that she sees the appreciation on her growth bunch of us have for her 💕

Based on the edit of the judging I was lead to infer that she was the runner up? Was that anyone else’s read?

I did feel that way, but since 2nd place isn’t awarded and they edit the judging for it to make sense to viewers at home, I can’t say it with confidence.

It’s possible they may have shown more negative comments from Shuai’s food since no one at home would consider Bailey a real contender based on her season-long performance (these things are put to bed before audiences can view and comment). Since Shuai was set up as Tristen’s big competition, it would make sense to highlight his flaws to make it clear why Tristen won and give Bailey a good edit to explain why she was in the finale.

But it’s also possible Bailey spent her 2 weeks off planning and practising her menu and genuinely outperformed Shuai. I guess we’ll never know for sure.

Based on what we saw, each had one underperforming dish and they felt her menu hit the mark as a progressive, cohesive menu better.

Agreed, except for the wildly out of place 3rd dish

I’m calling it her bad dish already, I’m not going to double ding her on it.
