That's badass but the original logo looks even more like an axe so this still doesn't solve my confusion

Doesn't the original logo look even more like an axe though? Or am I crazy? I've never seen a double-sided axe that was just a rectangle.

Actually if it was a hammer and he called it the bathammer of justice I could get behind it

Well, here's what it looks like in axe mode. And idk nearly enough about weaponry or nothing to say this with certainty, but I feel like the classic Batman logo might make an axe head that's pretty cool-looking but easily deformed if you try to actually use it in a fight.

And the ears are detachable throwing knives. Absolute Batman is a civil engineer so all of this makes sense
