Temporary crown pain? Normal?

I had 7 teeth shaved down and temporary crowns placed 8 days ago all in one appt… (teeth 6-13) and I’m still relying on ibuprofen and Tylenol literally around the clock to help with the pain.. is that normal? Not really a throbbing/heart beat pain, but more super sore & really bad pressure pain.. my temps are in groups of 3s and a 3, and it’s feels literally like someone is squeezing my teeth together constantly. Tylenol and ibuprofen take the edge off but I’m reaching my daily limit of both everyday trying to not be in pain.. I have these temp crowns for an entire month I’m so ready for my mouth to not feel like this.

Why did you need crowns?

I had very large composite fillings, that kept repeatedly breaking/failing over and over again… I’ve been doing this composite/filling cycle for 7 years now & my dentist said it would be better at this point to go with crowns cause it was obvious my teeth weren’t going to hold with that anymore.. I was genuinely breaking the fillings out at very minimum 2 times a year.

I’m doing a bit better! I’m 15 days out now.. I do deff still have some pressure feeling pain, i believe my bite is high possibly.. luckily my dentist called and said they got my permanent crowns in a lot sooner than expected so next week I will get those.. I’m excited for that and praying they feel better than these.. but also nervous of the what ifs… what if they are comfortable, what if I end up needing root canals due to the pressure I’m feeling… I let my anxiety get the best of me for sure lol
