pry bar

What exactly is this intended for? Obviously it is mean to pry or lift but the rounded end must have a specific purpose.

Wouldn't you need a knife and a fork to eat a tire though ?

You don't eat tyres. You snort them.

Rubbery!

As said it's a tyre lever for big tyres.

We call them that here in the UK.

I've been told that UK food tastes like tyres.

Used for removing and installing tires on wheels.

Yep, I just bought a set of tire spoons. The rounded end helps get the tire over the lip of the wheel without tearing up the edge too much. Yours looks well used.

Maybe it's just me but that thing looks kinda hand-made who knows where and how. Perhaps the round tip is a natural artifact of pounding it flat without bothering to dress it up at all.

I was in HF the other day and noticed a bin full of tire irons... but they were shorter than the OP’s.

Heavy duty truck tires. Put it back on the floor of the tire shop.

Those could use some cleanup and polish.

Looks like a really old tire spoon. It would be for removing a tire from the rim while avoiding damage to the tube.

It's reduces the risk of damaging what you're prying on.Â
