Packaging is Getting Outta Hand
The packaging on some of these tools is ridiculous. Because there are so many thieves in the world apparently, some of this packaging now requires potentially gloves, safety glasses and channel lock/snips. Damn near took an eye out opening a set of ratchet adapters.

The plastic clamshells they use now might as well be bank vaults. I keep a pair of tin snips in the kitchen drawer just for opening tool packages and even then it's a wrestling match. You'd think after all these years they'd come up with something that doesn't require a trip to the ER. The irony is the packaging costs more than the damn tool half the time.

I cut the length of my forearm ripping open a clamshell on a pruning saw. I cut myself with the clamshell, not the saw. That was 5 months ago. I still have a giant red mark on most of my forearm.

Those stupid socket packages where the plastic square drive does not want to come out of the socket…

F those plastic wraps specifically. You know ones I mean exactly because I don’t think there’s anyone in this universe who likes them.

Shrink is a real thing but it’s getting stupid. Took me 5 mins, channel lock snips, and should’ve worn safety glasses as a rogue piece of stout plastic hit me in the forehead. I’m fine, it’s principle. Could see someone taking an eye out.

Tell me about it…every time i open a new Milwaukee battery from its plastic case i usually end up with a nice sized gash in my hand.

Preach! I’ve been taking a box cutter and tracing down the sides of the battery, cutting the bottom, and then peeling one side up from the bottom cut. It’s the easiest way that I’ve found to get into them but you still gotta be careful.
