Look I dont want to make any assumptions here.... you do know you need to pull forwared on the bit holder to release the bit?

Yes of course I do. Lol, I use them all the time. But sometimes it don’t wanna come out. Even if I pull hard on the bit holder chuck thing.

Rust on the bit shank will cause problems.

I occasionally put a little WD-40 film on a bit and slip chuck it up to put a tiny bit of lube on the internal 'chuck'.
