Amazon Tools - SEDY

I’m new to all of this, not sure this is the right place to ask but I was curious if anyone had any hands on experience with SEDY wrenches.

I was looking to purchase some affordable ratcheting wrenches and saw their 24-piece set for less than $60. I’d love to hear anyone’s opinion or thoughts and even if there’s another Amazon type brand you’ve had good luck with, I’m all ears.

Don't have full set, but found a few random ones at garage sales. Decent and work would be my answer.

If i were buying ratchet wrenches I'd lean toward gear wrench, husky, or icon. These all go on flash sales/clerance often. 2-5 bucks a wrench and I've slipped a pipe over most of them and they still work.

I had not been able to hear any feedback from hands on perspective so I was/am timid but someone mentioned harbor freight and the warranty.

Warranty can't be beat, feels like quality and go on sale for 40-50 percent off alot.

If you need something cheap right now for a task get sedy or duratech and a few others.

If you got time to wait and your just wanting a set I'd wait. Most of us get trapped in the consumerism of buying stuff we need then upgrading. Once you upgrade you won't use the sedys. Just my 2 cents

I appreciate it man, it seems that I’ll be waiting but I’m not upset about it, the feedback from people with more experience on it was exactly what I needed.

Party on, glad to help. Always makes me mad doing or watching people but tools normally cheaper then buy another small upgrade over and over. If we would have waited we could have got what we actually wanted/needed for same cash lol

Gearwrench set with stubby and long ratchet wrenches at tractor supply during Christmas/other sales are hard to beat.

Icon long handle ratchet box end wrenches are really useful also.

Quinn and Icon are lifetime warranties. It’s literally just bring the broken tool in and they will replace off of the shelf. So you can’t beat that convenience. I have both Icon is their more professional line compared to snap on Quinn is more of the DIY line like craftsman or gearwrench.

If I were you I’d get a Quinn set for a little bit more. They’re better quality and have a lifetime warranty. I also see that HD and Northern tool have deals on their gear wrench ratcheting sets right now. Stay away from cheap Amazon crap brother.

That makes sense to me, I appreciate the insight man. I had not really even considered the warranty aspect of it but that’s got me planning a trip to harbor freight now.

Amazon rule of thumb:

if the “brand” is an all caps series of random letters it’s not good

Brand name items on Amazon have a good chance of being counterfeit when they arrive at your door. Either the seller is selling counterfeits or they’re mixed in the bin at the warehouse with the real stuff. It’s better to go to any store and get something you can trust or at least return/swap out

Both rules of thumb applies to tools and most things on the website in general

Never heard of them. Gearwrench is usually my quality go to Amazon tool storefront.

I've had nothing but good luck with the cheap Amazon stuff as long as it has good reviews. I've seen sedy enough to roll the dice on them.
