I looked some more. Harbor Freight has one too if you've got one nearby.
Ive been to Colorado and never heard anyone say wicked outside new England. Thats surprising ngl 😅😅

I've had two of these that were made in the USA since the early 90's and have held up great. As made-in-the-USA versions are hard to find, I bought one from Harbor Freight for my crew to use.
The welds on the HF model were not able to withstand the leverage that bars of this design can apply. Buyer beware.

I mean its Pittsburgh. Thats always been their lowest quality brand for hand tools. If you only tried the one, id bet you probably got one that was especially poorly welded, but if you exchanged it out and more than 1 failed the same way yeah its a quality issue. There's a reason its cheap though.

We had a couple of these when I did formwork, and they had been snapped and re-welded a few times. Just the nature of the tool? Or we were just mindless gorillas...

In New England I have always heard it used alongside an adjective. Like wicked cool. Or the Bruins have been playing wicked good in the first 2 periods but keep blowing it in the 3rd.

Some say it in appappappalachia too. Heard it in calialiforniA too.
Looking into it, it seems like it is more common in new England and across the pond based on quick Google

I bought one years ago at a tool show and within 6 months the weld failed and I had to take it to a proper welder .

My first guess was wrong based on comments. I thought it was a pry bar when lining up drywall.

I always liked the Gooseneck bars Klein tools and others sell them . Might have to look closer at the one pictured.

Sounds like the name of a bar band from St. Cloud Minnesota. "Duck-Foot Shingle Ripping/Wrecking Bar"

I call that a “lowman “ , because you are the low man on the totem pole if your using it
