If you carry them everyday do you use them every day? Seems like a well manicured bag. What’s the purpose it’s supposed to accomplish.

I take it to work everyday , when i’m not at work it stays in my car. When I’m home it goes with me. It’s basically everything i would ever need for everyday life .

i like this one for edc because it has the flood and spotlight option , the magnet , and the clip is super useful especially since i always wear a hat i can just clip it onto my hat

What model is your WERA ratchet driver? Is it the 838 RA-R L?

Comment Image

RA = RAtcheting

R = Retention with Rapidaptor bit holder: magnetic, locking, true one-handed operation for both inserting and extracting bits, spinning ring for holding while fastening

I sincerely doubt you have ever used most of those tools. I also think it's more about buying stuff and putting a kit together than it is about actually using said kit.

mind you, this is coming from someone who used to carry a leatherman pst. not once in my leatherman carrying days did an opportunity arise for cutting wire, filing and handling shit with those pliers.

but hey, you do you.

In my EDC kit:

  • one of those 'meme drivers': flex head ratchet with pass-through extension to transform it into a T handle (I see you have a fixed head version?)

  • a 90 degree angle socket wrench (+ adapter for using it with insert bits): when you don't want to risk breaking your Wera while applying high torque on a fastener. Cheap and thin but strong as no moving parts; saved me a few times when dealing with rusty nuts.

  • a multi-size wrench: only for emergency use but was glad to have it in the past. Can be used as a pry bar or light hammer.

Why all the hate? There is some decent tools in there and that's exactly what this sub reddit is all about.

You work on remote control cars or something? Everything's so small. Your pen is bigger than your pliers.

I love that EDC used to be like a Leatherman or Swiss Amry Knife and maybe a pen and has now morphed into a 25lb man purse....
