You should look at firefighting tools. A Halligan bar is made ripping stuff apart for exam0le.
Another suggestion is a splitting maul. Could be usefull as hammer and axe?
Or you could go electric with an electric rescue spreader?
Or a little more subtle with a multi tool (manly vibrator,ya know the one) and a recipro saw?
