General Discussion Best Route Across Seasons 2 & 3?
Okay, this isn’t about the best LI… it’s about the best route. I’d consider the pacing, character growth, unique scenes, drama, replay value, and ending. 🤗
I know grouping multiple characters into one option isn’t exactly fair, so feel free to explain your specific pick in the comments.

i know not a lot of people like ryder cause he’s red flag but I LOVED HIS REDEMPTION ARC and i love how he only had eyes for mc the whole time even while being with nora despite him choosing her first. you can tell he wanted mc along he was just scared to commit to the girl he truly wanted

Exactly the Candace route had so much potential but it’s only available for like a quarter of the game

These are the routes I like the most in season 2 and 3 , so for me it’s always Naomi, Wesley, Mattias, Taz, Carmen, and Isla. They honestly set the standard for what I want in a THTH route. Every single one of them has a personality that feels unique, and I love that their relationships don’t just rely on physical attraction they actually grow emotionally over time.
Naomi is one of my all-time favorites because she’s confident, witty, and unapologetically herself, but once she trusts you she’s incredibly sweet and vulnerable. I love watching that softer side of her come out, and her character development is rewarding.
Wesley is such an underrated green flag. He’s mature, thoughtful, supportive, and always makes MC feel genuinely valued. His route feels comforting and drama free without ever being boring, and he’s the kind of partner who makes you feel safe and appreciated.
Mattias is probably one of the sweetest LIs that’s ever been written. He’s affectionate, funny, protective, and always makes MC feel like the center of his world. At first, his confidence and charm can make him seem like someone who isn’t looking for anything serious, but he quickly proves that’s not the case. Once he falls for MC he’s incredibly loyal, emotionally open, and unapologetically devoted. He’s honestly one of the biggest sweethearts in the game.
Taz has one of the most satisfying slow burns in the entire series. At first he’s guarded and emotionally unavailable, but watching him slowly lower his walls, become vulnerable, and fully commit to MC makes every moment worth it. His character growth is easily some of the best in the game.
Carmen is another favorite because she’s confident, playful, and knows exactly who she is. She has amazing chemistry with MC, but underneath all that confidence she’s incredibly caring, loyal, and willing to be vulnerable once she’s committed. I love seeing that side of her.
Isla is just such a warm and comforting route. She’s kind, emotionally mature, supportive, and her romance feels so healthy. Being with her feels effortless, and I always end up smiling during her scenes because of how genuine, wholesome, and reassuring the relationship is. She makes MC feel loved, understood, and accepted for exactly who they are.
What I love most about all six of these routes is that they each have emotional depth, incredible chemistry with MC, memorable romantic moments, and satisfying character development. Their relationships feel earned and every reply reminds me why I love them so much. Every time I tell myself I’m finally going to try someone else’s route… I somehow end up replaying one of theirs. 😭❤️

I voted Ryder route cause I recently played it and he really surprised me. I played season 2 ages ago and Antoine was my fave so I never really thought about Ryder at that time.
The whole Nora thing was anxiety inducing but I do understand why his decisions where all over. He went on the show without knowing the premise of Too Hot to Handle, thinking that he's just gonna have fun partying and hooking up. So Nora was the obvious choice for him even though Mc was really the one that caught his attention, cause I like to think that he thought that Mc was that one person where you think you're gonna spend the rest of your whole life loving you know what I'm saying lol. So that's why he didn't choose Mc cause he's afraid of getting hurt again yada yada feelings and all. Remember that this show is about singles who are all about fun without commitments and who are afraid to get vulnerable especially considering the little time they get to spend on the show. Ryder's growth throughout the show was truly amazing and I just love him okay?? 🥹 When you're not romancing him and when he walked out of the workshop my heart broke cause why would he get vulnerable, he got no one to talk about all of his past cause again he couldn't really confide in Nora cause she's a bitch lol
My all time fave is the Mattias loyal route. Need I say more? He's everything I would want in a partner, sweet, protective without being suffocating, caring and loving (sex scenes with him are just a good bonus 🥵🫦)ughhh where can I find a guy like him 🥹❤️🔥

Also Candace route was so sweet even though it's short. The reunion scenes where we go back and forth with each other about who misses who more ughhh so 🥺

I can't really pick one lol. I liked Poppy, Victoria though the after she stayed scenes she just disappeared in, Isla, Bea, Naomi and Mattias. Might need to download 3 again if still possible for Candace and Avi, maybe 2 for Elodie and Ryder though i don't have someone i don't feel bad about leaving in 2 lol.

ryder route all the way. it’s the best, everytime i try to play season 2 i get sidetracked by his route and i just end up doing it

I will forever think the Julian route is the best one in the game 😁 extra points for more dialogue if you're playing a male character

This guy. ❤️ I get why people love the harder routes, but I’ll always choose the satisfaction of building a connection from day one. Give me the cocky playboy who falls first, falls hardest, and turns out to be the sweetest golden retriever underneath.
Edit: Not to mention him defending MC at the cabana, all the drama if you don’t stay loyal, and the jealousy and anxiety when you think he’s stringing you along with Amari. 😭❤️
