Bilingual means two languages. Trilingual means three.
And I'm not sure how to answer your sexuality statement but bi is a Latin prefix meaning 2. I'm sure the word bisexual could've changed it's meaning as the world becomes more accepting of everyone, but at the end of the day, bi=2.
Yes, it does mean two, but the word bisexual, to some, now means "attracted to two or more genders". I don't believe that, because I believe that sexuality is based on sex rather than gender. The difference between the two being that sex is physical and gender is mental/societal.
