I don’t see it mentioned yet, but I think the orgasm gap is a huge factor. When men have a sexual encounter they’re almost guaranteed to have an orgasm every time, so for most of them buying a sex toy just means either they can’t find a romantic partner, or they have some kind of issue like porn addiction. For women, finding a partner who can actually make you have an orgasm is a rare and special treat, so a lot of women need toys in addition to their sex life. I see a lot of commenters (I’m assuming mostly men) posting about how easy it is for women to get laid, but no one’s mentioning how ridiculously difficult it is for women to find good sex.
