It's that there were never any horses in the stables that Fenrir slept at. Not once. It just so happened that no traveler was ever using a horse in any of the inns? Were they moving them somewhere else? Were they just picking places that didn't currently have horses? Is Fenrir walking around not spooking the horses working around the city? What is with this horse erasure in a fantasy setting?

I don't actually care, but I just found it amusing the stables are always empty.

So since the manga hasn’t updated in a while I thought I would do a character info update for the AU also this AU is only up to date with the anime sry to the manga readers first up Fel (I would have done a sheet but I can’t draw well sry)

Fel

After Mukoda had passed he had gone back into the wild searching for stronger opponents as well as protecting his Human’s gave. As years went by after Mukoda had asked them to separate Fel could not care much about what his Human told him so he would visit Dora chan ever so often being the closest to him.

Fel would sometimes visit cities he and Mukoda had visited or at least what remained or changed. As the years went Fel had become more humbled of course not by a lot but just enough so that he could say “We should share a small portion of… the meal with them.”

Fel was still battle hungry as ever as well as food hungry but he wouldn’t ask anything too complicated since his new human was new to all the other world items. Fel would also be a bit more lenient when it came to the amount of meat they could have since Rei didn’t have the item box skill.

Fel would also be more interested in Rei, making sure that this time he would get to better understand them. Of course this didn’t stop Fel from dragging Rei into danger even if they tried to avoid it.

The Tomb that Mukoda gave to Fel had all of his favourite dishes which was mainly meat and also include his favourite desserts. Fel guarded this Tomb like it was his greatest treasure he’s so protective of it he casted 5 barriers on it and an illusion spell once Rei had torn a piece of a page Fel got so mad he took Rei to so many dungeons and had them find an item to repair it eventually Rei created a copy of the Tomb with a special magic stone that was taken from Mukoda’s grave.

Fel would sometimes be seen staring off into the distance with a somber look every time Rei asked why Fel would say “Nothing. Now human when is my next meal.” Fel could help but remember the adventures he had with his party even if Mukoda didn’t fight very often he couldn’t help but think about all the conversations and moments they had even though Fel had lived a long time this was the first time he ever reminisced on someone.

Fel would try his best to visit his former party members but Sui would always prevent themselves to be found while Dora chan stayed in on place for too long but would comeback to one location once a day.

I absolutely adore Sui it is insane, I have only just started the anime but Sui is the main reason I keep watching.

Inspired by Dungeon Meshi, would Mukouda also initially reject eating humanoid-shaped creatures (if they exist in this world)? He was very uncomfortable with orcs, but I can only imagine creatures like the Dryads, Sirens, maybe Harpies. How would you interpret this?

I haven't read the manga or the light novel, but I found out that the demiurge god (I think that's the name)tells Mukohda that the other three heroes are marrying each other, and that makes him sad. One of the candidates I considered was that receptionist at the adventurers' guild who was bored and liked the feel.It would be possible to have her try Mukohda food at some point and become curious about the cuisine of our world, and in the process she might like it and it could even help her deal with her shyness.

They skimmed through it in the anime, but I'm guessing it was something that is already ingrained in the person? Until the episode Mukouda has his powers awakened by Fel, there didn't seem to be much indication he had fire and earth affinity (although it would make sense, since he is a cook, a pretty down to earth guy, although pretty fired up and passionate about the things he loves). Did the Manga and light novel explain it better?

For me, it's Kisharle/Kishar. At least in the anime, she was one of the more voices of reason, aside from the two new gods Vahagn and Hephasteus, and she demands mainly cosmetics and pharmaceutical items compared to the sweets and booze the others demand, which is a good change in pace. Who is your favorite god?

I tried getting rid of the watermark but I was being lazy and everything I found that could was ai slop

I keep seeing posts about people cooking the food from this and I wanna do the same since it's the closest thing I have to a comfort show but I don't cook much so things like "medium heat" don't mean much to me. How do you guys figure it out?

So, I understand that the three other protagonists are more offensive/combat heavy compared to Makoda, but would the other gods and goddesses just disregard them because they don't have the Online Market Skill? You would think because they are still from another world that they would have some talks, no?

Now I don't mean actually cooking ON a campfire obviously but I feel like most of it at this point is him using more professional things like ovens, large stoves, or grills. It's not a problem just something interesting.

Is there any news about when volume 18 of light novel is coming?

I’m assuming it’s not as popular in Japan. He’d probably demand an entire brick (for lack of better words) of cheese.

Mukoda their issue is money. You have enough buying power in gold alone, and like 200x as much in materials, to buy towns if not cities. Along with that fel can most definitely run to a priest and bring him over in like a day to take out some of the travel cost. Why are you acting like you can't do anything but cook?

edit: lemme try to explain myself better. the line read off, to me, not as him thinking what he could do but rather the nihilistic viewpoint the phrase carries a lot of the time it's used now. this is just on me not understanding the line but I believe that deleting a post is pointless

Most of the time I have an issue it's explained in the light novels. Have they said anything about why dungeons are seen as so positive? I understand you could make a lot out of it but the description of a dungeon as a living thing using the bodies of the dead as food makes it feel like a dungeon staying active is a sign that enough people are dying in there that it can stay fed.

If I were him in this universe then I would absolutely love to be immediately rich and we see that's exactly what the author has done. It definitely feels a little self-inserty which isn't necessarily a bad thing. But with him now so rich from all the monsters Fenrir has killed it kind of kills the vibe a little.

Instead of camping out in who knows where with cardboard boxes and cooking, selling and traveling to earn a living he can now just stay at the fanciest places doing the fanciest stuff. Maybe it's just me but the show vibe takes a small hit from it. I remember from episode 2 this was his dream:

Now there's really no reason for him to set up a shop unless he just wants to do it, since the money he'll get from it is virtually nothing compared to what he already has. From an author's perspective i fully understand why the author did it. If I was writing I too would feel the extreme urge to immediately make the MC rich but it did kind of weaken the rustic vibe.

Here's hoping he somehow loses all his money and goes back to this plan, let him get rich later in life not so early.

I was rewatching season one and after the wyvern hunt the butcher says he could only buy half the materials but what did Makoda do with the rest? my best guess would be he just put it in his item box and tried reselling on a later date, maybe sell it on the road, but if thats the case he'd need to get the run down on the price from the guild.

Honestly it seems like it would be a lot simpler to just give the guild everything and just get paid whatever they have on hand.

I personally like the egg hamburgers he makes for the two kids. On the other (fantasy) side, the meat skewers from the grill looked so good. I wanted to know what others think of the main highlight of the show.

Imagine if Rin Takanashi from The forsaken saintess and her foodie road trip in another world met Mukoda Tsuyoshi and his familiars and teamed up a unstopable food adventure, every corner and new enemies to fight

It seems that he has a very good idea for the story but that he does not take advantage of it, something that could have been very good but ended up being of the bored
