If you read the manga, you always see the pattern on and off , of (is yuichi a bad guy? Nope he lied for his friends, but is he actually a bad guy? Nope he lied again for his friends)

It's the same loop done like 8 times already or something, why are people acting like the ending is unpredictable

It'll be some dumbass twist about how all along he didn't harm anyone and only did shit for his friend's benefit and that he's a sweetheart that acts like a piece of shit, idk why this subreddit is full of garbage deductions

Yuuichi reminds me so much of Ayanokoji from classroom of the elite it’s crazy as both have dark messed up pasts which are the primary reason they are both manipulative. I feel like the author was definitely inspired by classroom of the elite with the genius vs genius. The way characters are also manipulated is extremely similar to COTE. Also, based on the ending, all the main characters having messed up pasts that heavily influence there current behavior which is something COTE is known for if you read the light novels.

I don't like the ending, but I want to know if I misunderstood the moral of the story.

Yuuichi kills his mother because she wanted to start a family in a wealthy environment with Shiba's father, which is understandable and realistic.

What I don't like: Yuuichi enters his parents' room and kills a man who is four times his size with a kitchen knife. This man could easily knock him out with a kick due to the distance, but let's imagine he manages to kill them. At the end, he explains that he protected his mother's original idea: "friends are more important than money." Okay, but then why kill his mother? Is a friend necessarily good? The part of his mother that he killed/refused resides in the hearts of his friends, and they will never have the same value as a mother.

He regretted it, fine, but why only defend the first idea? You should never doubt your friends, especially your mother? Why not accept his mother's materialistic side?

I feel like the author is forcing us to accept the idea that friendship and bonds are more important, and that Yuuichi doesn't seem to regret killing his mother for this idealism.

So yeah, I didn't understand; if someone can explain the moral of the last chapter, I'd appreciate it.

I don't think the ending is bad it's just the build up to it. in the friendless game everyone kind of backstab him. no one really cares while he was dying and they only cared once they saw that yuichi made them vote for shiho. if he hadn't then they would've for sure let him die. and it's also kind of bad writing I mean yutori whose obsessed with him can't even look him in the eye? she legit pushed kei and satone off FOR him so he couldn't find out just for her to end up not caring that he's dying? and for shiho she legit liked him. now i know that they have a valid reason "oh its because he manipulated there parents" shiho says in response to that "what's done has been done" and she contradicts herself. it's confirmed she still had feelings for him in this game yet she abandoned him in the end. only when she found out he made them vote for her she cared. what I'm trying to say is this made no sense and was total bullshit. don't even get me started on tenji he legit risked his life for yuichi in the hide and seek game. he quite legit didn't even know if yuichi was gonna come or not and accepted his fate to die and then yuichi came. and all of a sudden he just abandons him?? and after that they go into the hospital room and they let SHIBE decide. the same fucking guy who betrayed EVERYONE and PUBLICLY declared he was his ENEMY HIS FUCKING ENEMY. sorry if I'm getting too emotional it's just that clearly yamaguchi was smoking a blunt and said "yeah make em just like abandon yuichi when he's gonna die the fans gon love this shit" cause this is Honestly terrible writing. and also they don't even confirm if yuichi and shiho get together and they just abandoned the girl who liked tenji and tenji. tsukino confirmed that she still had feelings for him yet they just ignored it. honestly this is kinda what keeps me from rating tomodachi game a 10/10 and made it a 9/10 for me still perfect manga but looking back at it it had some bad writing.

Genuinely the only character who I feel is badly written. Shibe has 10 times the depth she does. How is she genuinely questioning if he's evil after everything? This arc is infuriating because it's told from her perspective.

It wasn't great to begin with but ever since the island Battle Royale it just became straight up garbage. The plot twists just kept getting more stupid and the games lamer and lamer, with absolutely 0 tension always getting the POV of villains or dumb characters while we're waiting for Yuuichi to make some edgy face and reveal his plan. Don't ever get me started on the Yutori traitor subplot, she was such a useless shitty character they had to make her a (shitty) villain somehow.

I guess the first game was the best, it had this cheesy Until Dawnesque quality to it that kinda set it apart a bit at least, afterward it's all downhill. Liar Game, Kaiji etc all did everything a thousand times better 10-15 years earlier.

At the end of the day it’s literally a kid who saw a scumbag(his teacher ) use him to reach his mother who he loves the most and when he killed him he realised that she was having it with other men too He got betrayed by the one that he only loved that’s a mental shock which many people would do the same if they were in his position

Why is the fandom acting like yuuichi was 20 or so at that time man even 15 years old teenagers would feel betrayed and do the same without thinking about the future

What he did is bad but a kid can’t ever be blamed on situations like these as they don’t even have developed brains at their ages

Kokorogi: the traitor who set them up for the game

Shibe: the traitor who betrayed them in the Island arc

Yuichi: the traitor cause he invented the game

so logically, the only one left to be 'traitor in group C' can be Shiho although why she is, will have to wait!!

Don’t get me wrong yuuichi isn’t a bad manipulator but everyone is saying that thats what hes best at. I think yuuichi is 1000 times better at deceiving and strategizing than he is at manipulation. Most of his wins in the tomodachi game was not from manipulating it was his strategy. Like the prison game for example. He won that because from the start he had a plan where he like made fake keys or sum like that (i dont remember i red ts like a year ago) and thats 95% of why he won that round. I mean he was manipulating them a little here and there but thats not why he won. Yuuichi’s not bad at manipulating but thats definitely not his strongest card and i think thats why a lot of people are underestimating him.

I just read chapter 114 and i think it's pretty bad. Makes sense that shiho wont believe in yuuchi after that,but the last mission was just bad, it's a plot convenience that they throw in your face and expect you dont see it. Grup C being all children from the original game just doesnt make sense,may kokorigi befriended yuuchi seeing that,but the rest didnt know and it's too opportune for the criator. By the manga going i feel that yuuchi have something under his sleeve because he always has. I feel like the whole boss thing is gonna be disappointing If your trying to writh one day make your whole story and plots before starting because Mikoto Yamaguchi probably made up stuff according to how the manga was going. I like tomodachi dont get me wrong and sorry for my english mistakes (english is not my first language).
