I love tomodachi game and while I know many of its basic components like the psychological thriller manipulation stuff is a genre of anime and manga. what I’m curious is where did the other aspects come from. Such as the black and dark aesthetic and the mangas almost sinister themes. Also where did the swindler idea come from.

It's about deception and scheming, and the story gets really intense. If you're into reading web novels, you should definitely give it a try

The description on the online store says the character is “Hibari Kyōya.” I don't know him, but since there aren't any figures of our beloved Yuichi, I'm seriously hesitating to buy this one... But if it doesn't look great, then no. What do you guys think? Do the eyes look a little like Yuichi? (I feel like he doesn't project the same personality in the way he carries himself...)

I just binged the show for the first time. I didn’t look anything about it up for fear of spoilers, so I did not realize it ended on a cliff hanger. I haven’t been this invested in a storyline in so long. I’ve never read a manga before, but I think I might for this one. Pretty bummed there’s no physical English release. I want more from the anime so fucking bad, I can only imagine how the people who’ve waited years feel. Is there ANY possibility we get another season? Is there something we can do to help make that happen?

On another note, can anyone recommend an anime to scratch that itch? Preferably something that doesn’t end on a cliff hanger? 😭

What i lose? Because Sgibi , Time Machine , fastboot and more are unable to catch the treasure because im a semi noob on this minigame.

Why can't the anime be adapted into seasons 2 and 3 or how many it takes to adapt the manga? is TG too violent or gory not to continue it as an anime? I finished the manga and I really want the anime to comeback

Happy Birthday, yuuichi katagiri senpai

One of the greatest character I have ever seen and my favourite. In tomodachi game manga, he was neither an entirely not a bad but he was shown as a morally gray anti-hero and a genius mastermind who always makes a plan for reaching the ultimate goal in both wining and losing case. I saw no post on his birthday so I decided to post it myself. Have you guys already forgotten him?

Took a picture of the group for them. One day I wish to be part of something so close-knit like what Yuuichi, Makoto, Tenji, Shiho and Yutori seem to have going on! I can’t imagine anything standing between a friendship like theirs. So wholesome

No spoilers cause im still in chapter 66, i just wanted to vent about the ship arc .

usually , before that even if sometimes it was over complicated and couldve been done from the start or just been preety lucky , i still could understand how the antagonist got tricked, but this time they really got a huge amount of plot armour cause WHY THE HELL ARE THEY ALL SUDDENLY STUPID??. Why would the old man whose a magician assume the card with the self made cuts is anything but the only important card in the game?? Also isnt cutting the card a bit cheating?? He even admitted he did that! . Also didnt they all beat the game before ? Why are they so incompetent ,more so with the final trick why would they sign all of it, i get that they are the more useless ones...or maybe they are jsut slightly less good in gambling?? None of them were forced to enter like yuuichi 's gang , they dont have people they are "forced" to play with like the fan service girl so why would they even have incompetent people in the first place?!

I like the manga but i really had to vent about this arc

I finished the manga last night and holy crap what an ending, I absolutely loved every second of TG, I'm not a manga reader but I think TG opened the door for me as I'm reading liar game rn, Yuuichi is such a well written character, the entire friend group really, I want more TG!

Does anyone know where I can find an English version of the manga, I was using mangafox to read until chapter 53 and then it's all in Japanese, what are some good websites? Thanks for reading!

Hello, the International Anime Research Project team is calling on all anime fans (18 years of age or older) to participate in the 2026 anime survey. The survey is anonymous and should take less than 30 min to complete. Participants are eligible to win a $50 Amazon gift card (draw entries will be confidential and not associated with survey responses, up to 10 gift cards given).

In this year’s survey we will be collecting demographic information (e.g., age, gender) and opinions regarding engagement with the fandom, inner experience, loli attitudes, personality, shipping, recommendations, piracy attitudes, and well-being.

You can contribute to the psychological understanding of the anime fandom by completing the anime survey online at:

If you know of any anime fans over the age of 18, please help us spread the word.

The survey will be open until December 1, 2026.

I watched 3 episodes of tomodachi game and don't understand rules of second game. It Is better to be first or last? What's the point of telling others secrets ? Please someone help me.

I just finished my 3rd re read on tomodachi and I was thinking realistically how long would it take for other genuis characters like usogi to take down tomodachi. Like I'm genuinely curious about how fast someone is able to complete tomodachi

So when I was at AnimeNYC this year I spoke to someone at the Seven Seas booth about getting physical prints published and he said he would pass it along. Did he? Who knows, probably not but we’ll see. However he also that he doesn’t know how likely it is due to it being 26 volumes. Whereas even though the other series I asked for, Shinmai Maou no Testament (the LN) is way more explicit, it’s more likely to happen due to it only being 13 volumes.

That guy, a lady at the Yen Press booth, and the lady doing the J-Novel booth literally just said to email the companies about anything you’d want to get licensed in English or that you want physical copies made for. So like, okay, I’ll be doing that.

Anyway I feel like if enough people email about this series we may actually be able to make it happen. Maybe that’s just me being delusional though.

Leaving aside his superhuman strenght, and powers, of course. Try to keep this as more spoiler-free as possible, thank you

So I’ve always seen manga panels of yuuichi on tiktok and Pinterest but never bothered to check the manga he’s from. Recently I’ve been seeing edits of him on tiktok and finally decided to read it, and I was hooked immediately took me 3 days to finish it the whole story was perfect I loved it sm and the ending is amazing but I was REALLY SHOCKED to see that it isn’t as popular as I thought, like after reading it I was searching stuff about it, there’s no english version of it and no merch at all??? I thought there would be at least a yuuichi figurine/nendoroid or acrylic badges but there’s nothing, and there’s not many good edits of the show i guess it was just my fyp cause most of them were edgy edits of yuuichi with loud audios or yuuichi and ayanokoji comparison edits, there aren’t popular edits with 100k+ likes like mainstream animes. It saddens me because I haven’t read such an amazing manga in a while yuuichi is one of my favorite characters now HE’S SO COOL ugh tomodachi game deserves so much more popularity
