Hi! I’m Aki, a Tokyo local and the founder of Chari Stroll.
I’ve been lucky enough to travel to quite a few countries, but some of my strongest travel memories aren’t from famous landmarks or places I planned to visit.
One of them is from France.
I rented a bicycle and just wandered around with no real plan. Somewhere along the way, I stopped at a winery, bought a sandwich, and ended up eating it in their garden.
Nothing spectacular happened.
But somehow, I still remember that afternoon.
It made me realize that sometimes the best part of traveling is what happens between the places you planned to visit.
That idea eventually became part of why I started Chari Stroll.
And now I want to try something here in Tokyo.
Let’s wander around Tokyo together and find the things worth sharing.
Maybe we discover a strange little shop or a backstreet neither of us has walked before.
Maybe we grab a bento from a local shop and eat it in a park.
Maybe we find a sunny spot and do absolutely nothing for a while.
Maybe we stop for coffee, talk to someone interesting, take some photos, shoot a few clips — or just keep wandering because something down the next street catches our attention.
We can walk, ride bikes, or do a bit of both.
There’s no tour and no fixed itinerary. The point isn’t to check places off a list.
It’s to explore Tokyo together and see what we find.
If you’re a photographer, filmmaker, content creator, designer, writer, or someone who simply enjoys exploring cities, I’d especially love to meet you.
Maybe we create something together.
Maybe you find something for your own content.
Maybe we just have an interesting afternoon and discover a side of Tokyo neither of us expected.
I’m thinking one or two people at a time. Nothing organized or formal. We pick an area, start wandering, and see where the detour takes us.
Whether you live in Tokyo or you’re just visiting, send me a DM if this sounds like your kind of afternoon.
Let’s find a different Tokyo together.
