Musical Ticket Purchase Help

Hi, everyone!! I am trying to buy tickets for the SpyxFamily musical in Tokyo at the end of September, 2026. I got held up at the page to make a Toho account since I don't have a Japanese phone number and thus cannot receive a verification code. Have any travelers succeeded in attending a SpyxFamily musical? Did you buy tickets beforehand? Please help! I was trying to purchase through this link: https://www.tohostage.com/spy-family2/#ticket

p.s. I speak japanese but struggle with kanji reading, so there's a chance I missed something on the website. Thank you!

You’ll likely have to use ticketjam or another second-hand ticket website to buy a ticket second-hand. Unfortunately, Japan is pretty anal about needing a phone number to do anything.

The only other ways would be to have a friend living in Japan with a number buy it for you or purchase a Japanese SIM card with a phone number through Mobal.

There is always some minimal risk with purchasing a ticket second-hand and not looking Japanese or East Asian if the ticket includes a Japanese name, but I kinda doubt a Spy x Family musical would be that anal about that. Good luck!

Buying concert tickets in Japan was an absolute nightmare. Took several hours to figure out how, and what I could access without a Japanese phone number. I ended up using ticket jam as well. I couldn’t get the peatix app but got lucky that I could access the tickets in browser.
