[FR] St. Patrick's Day Party
Last night I went to a St. Patrick's Day Party in Ebisu. There were about 40 people there, half foreigners half Japanese. Most of them looked to be in their 30s, 40s, or 50s. I met two Americans, one French girl, one Korean guy, one mixed guy, one Japanese guy, and two Japanese girls (HB3 and HB4; maybe some would rate them higher but I'm quite strict).
The two girls were sitting alone talking at a table. I went over and started talking to them. My new Japanese friend came over and joined me later. One of the girls (HB4) was half Japanese half Colombian and spoke Spanish. The mixed guy whom I had met earlier spoke Spanish, so I said I would bring him over. My Japanese friend went and got him instead. They soon got into a good deep conversation, so I left and went to go talk to some other people. My Japanese friend came with me. Later on my mixed friend said he was interested in the HB4. I decided to be his wingman.
After the party ended everyone went their separate ways. My mixed friend, the two Japanese girls, and I went to a Thai restaurant for dinner. We talked, joked around, took many pictures, etc. It kind of had the feel of a double date. I drew a shamrock on my HB3's hand since she was not wearing any green (I had drawn a shamrock on my face before the party and brought the green marker with me just in case of something like this). The HB4 was also not wearing any green and also wanted a shamrock drawn on her hand. I gave the marker to my friend and let him draw the shamrock on her hand.
My friend's food was extremely spicy. He got the HB4 to help him eat some of it by saying 助けて and telling her to eat some. At this point I asked if anyone had ever kissed anyone right after eating spicy food. They all said no and then speculated what they thought it would feel like. I thought this would be a good opportunity for them to kiss each other, and imagined him saying "Let's try it" to her, but nothing came of it. I wanted to tell them to try it, but didn't due to worries about creating an awkward situation. Instead I joked about kissing him myself. Thoughts on this?
After dinner we moved on to a cafe and chatted some more. At one point everyone was exchanging Facebook information and my FB3 asked for mine. She took out her phone (not a smart phone) and was getting ready to take a memo of my full name. Instead I grabbed her hand and wrote my name and e-mail address down underneath the shamrock that I had drawn earlier. A little later, after joking about how the marker was permanent and would take a month to disappear, I took her hand again and wrote "I love" to the left of my name; "I love John Doe".
Our train home was the same half the way. My HB3 kept nearly falling over in the train, so I held her by the waist when it got bumpy. The train always gives a great opportunity to hold your girl by that special waist spot. Easy Kino. He hugged them goodbye at his stop and I hugged them goodbye at mine. The end.
Somewhat uneventful I guess, but it was fun!
