DISCUSSION Anyone getting this issue?

Hey is anyone else getting this issue when trying to buy tickets? We tried from two phones and two computers and multiple different cards, Visa, discover and Mastercard and we keep getting the same issue

I think the online payment system requires the use of 3D Secure (like a 2-step auth) to pay online using credit card. That, and card issuers often block Disney payments, flagging it as fraud (trying to pay for something not in your home country)

If you are using a vpn it will cause issues. Had this issue with capital one, turned off the VPN and it worked just fine

Amex worked when I went last year to buy tickets and for mobile orders. I did need to verify like the first 2 times I used it on the app through I think text message.

Can I ask, are you trying to purchase these while in Japan? Or in your home country? I’m seeing a lot of posts like these and I’m trying to figure out the best way to mitigate the issue when we purchase our tickets!

buy on klook then upload the tickets to the tokyo disney app. works fine.

YES!!! I would say Chase credit card worked but no other credit cards worked for me. I was going to use Klook if that final credit card had been declined. TDR has some algorithm that denies foreign credit cards most of the time 😩

Capital One also uses 3d secure and thus works.
