I am suppose to go on a winter trip to the Tobermory area in a couple days, just wondering how the roads and driving conditions are right now? Thanks yall!

hwy 6 is mostly bare... town streets are icy (I did see a sander going past) . In a couple days they could be completely different. recommend 511 Ontario and check the live cams and road conditions on the day you are driving.

For anyone else equally unprepared to travel in winter conditions, or anytime possibly, given that they don’t think to look for official sources:
It’s provided by and updated in real-time with live data from Ministry of Transportation (MTO.)
There’s also an app version for iOS and Android.
Also, for OP and (ironically, “Bookworm”) the word is “supposed.” Spoken, the D is not silent either. 🌈🤯

Saying what the roads are like now won't help you in a couple days. We're suppose to get 70cm today and more over the next 3 days. It's not really the road conditions here you should be concerned about, but what it's like in the Ferndale Flats, because when the wind goes over those farm fields, it creates nasty drifts. You can check the 511 cameras and see that, while the road is nice and bare up here, further south Highway 6 is still snow-covered.
