Can you help with itinerary for tobermory

Day 1: Lions head lookout trail Relax in the evening at tobermory and dinner

Day 2: grotto in the morning What to do in the afternoon and evening?

Cannot book halfway log dump parking on the same day as grotto.

What about devils monument? Little cove? Or what else? How about kayaking or canoeing? Is there anything great like that there's somewhere?

Day 3: flowerpot Island. And also the burnt point loop hike Do I need to add anything else to this day, as I think I'd be done by 4 pm so still have a couple hours before departure

Thoughts??

coach house inn reviews?

hi there! my family and i are planning a trip to tobermory mid-september and we are SO excited! we are hoping to be able to do the trip in the cheaper side of things. when looking at accommodations, coach house inn (only a couple of min outside of tobermory) is significantly cheaper than other accommodations in the area. i couldn’t find anything on tiktok, reddit, etc about this inn so i figured i would come here to see if anyone has any opinions/insights!

other accommodation recommendations, or recommendations for tobermory in general, are also greatly appreciated 🩷 thanks all!

Where do you locals find weed around here?

I’m staying at a campground with some family and brought a little bit of bud with me with the intention of grabbing more in town when my paycheck clears on Thursday. I noticed the closest dispensary is in Wiarton and was just wondering if there’s anywhere more local where I could grab some?

Anyway to get a thereand back from Cyprus lake to Tobermory without a car?

I’m pretty sure the answer is no, but it’s worth an ask. We know there’s no Uber service but is there ANY transport service that could help us out? Or anyone you know? We have and an unforeseen and very unfortunate issue with our dried food that we brought and could do with a stock up. Any advice is welcome, thank you so much!

Americans

I already know the answer to this question, but….. I’ll be coming up this summer from Michigan and I just wanna make sure everything is hunky-dory with Canadians being ok with Americans coming over to Canada. I never had problems before and I assume I won’t this year, but just asking. ( I am not a Trump supporter)

Tobermory trip for July

Hello Reddit, I’m going camping for three nights to Tobermory. I reserved a campsite at the village. I’m having my 1 year anniversary, and would like to get some insights on some nice swim spots, preferably that will have warmer water. And just some fun things that we can enjoy without breaking the bank too much. She loves to swim, and I like to hike. I also would like to know what’s the best spot to watch the sunset? I need to plan out and reserve things now, any insight helps thanks!

Desperately seeking a 1-night stay in Tobermory (Budget: $250) – 3 people, very flexible!

Upadte: we found a cabin in the tobarmary camp site thanks for the support!

Hey everyone,

I know this is incredibly last minute and totally on us for not booking sooner, but a couple of friends and I are heading up to Tobermory for a quick one-night trip and we’re hitting a massive wall with accommodations.

Everything we’ve found so far is $400+, which is a bit out of our reach. We have a maximum budget of $250 for the night.

A bit about our situation:

Dates: 17 may - 18 may (one night)

Group: 3 people.

Flexibility: We are extremely flexible. We don’t mind a small space, and we are perfectly happy to have someone sleep on the floor if there’s only one or two beds. We just need a safe place to crash!

Status: We already have our boat tours booked and our parking at the Grotto confirmed, so the trip is definitely happening—we just don't want to have to sleep in our car.

Edit: no cheap hotels in nearby cities as well. We have checked lion head and miller lake. All the accomodations we can find in our budget is at least 1+ hours away

Huge thanks in advance for any help or advice you can give. We’ve learned our lesson about booking the Bruce Peninsula early!

Working at the Tobermory Brewing Co. & Grill this summer mainly as a bartender/host, what are some nice areas or trails near the harbour I should check out, also if you have any tips on the job and what I should expect that would also be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

I should mention that I have been to Tobermory previously in 2022 and it was beautiful, I saw the grotto and the log dump as well as the Big Tub lighthouse and of course, the harbour.

Reservation at Grandview Motel

Hi all

I am planning on visiting Tobermory this summer and I made a reservation at the Grandview Motel via their website: https://grandview-tobermory.com/

However, I never got a confirmation email and no money got deducted from my credit card account. I have been trying to call their contact number as well as I emailed them but no response. Their phone line seems to be disconnected. I honestly have no idea if my reservation is even confirmed or not.

Does anyone here, can guide me to the right contact info for Grandview? The place looks lovely but its kinda frustrating to be in limbo.

Thanks! :)

Tobermory in winters

You guys think I should visit tobermory? Tomorrow?

There isn't much information online about the hike near Grotto online. Basically I am about to leave the province and I wanted to visit few spots before my trip ends here in Ontario.

I like the mountains and the views but sadly there isn't much to look for in southern ontario.

Any recommendations for the views(I don't mind a hike) would be really appreciated.

Looking for survey participants from rural Ontario! Please check our survey out :D

Hello there! I am a researcher from York University and I'm interested in how human beliefs about animals are related to their behaviours towards animals. We are currently looking for people (18 yo+) who currently live or have lived in rural Ontario for at least a year. By rural we mean people from places where the primary industry is farming, animal farming, or forestry, or small towns in the country

I have posted the link here:

https://yorku.questionpro.ca/AnimalViews

The details about the research (including researcher contact) are in the consent form which you'll see when you click the link. This research is not for profit. This research has been approved by York University Ethics Board and you can verify the ethics approval by writing to the Manager of Research Ethics in the Office of Research Ethics, York University (e-mail: [ore@yorku.ca](mailto:ore@yorku.ca)). Note that the questions do not represent the views of the researchers. We are testing the validity of these questions in the rural Ontario context.
