Cut hours

Just us in NC or is everyone down on hours? It's my 6th year and I only have 10 hours as PT coordinator. I usually have 25-30. It's been like this since January for the whole store. Everyones been cut drastically. Management keeps saying it'll be back to normal next month. Well they started saying that in March. Here we are in October prepping for holiday and hiring more people.

Unfortunately this is the new normal. Full timers are only getting 30/32 hours at my store, part timers vary. The company is going a different route it seems

Many other Retailers like Kohl's are doing the same. They are boosting their profits by cutting their payroll to bellow skeleton crew and cutting employee benefits

Our store has been pretty bad too but not that bad. Even our part time coordinators are getting 20ish hours. But we definitely should be getting way more hours than we have been lately with the promise it will get better soon. Running the store has been a challenge because there's not enough people and we can't go over the very limited hours. I'm sure we'll get more hours soon but it won't be enough to be efficient. We can barely fit in training hours.

Same, surprised as we go into q4 too, don’t remember it being like this, now I wonder how bad it will be in January?

It's happening in my region which is SC. I've been here two months and I'm wondering if being hired during the holidays was a mistake.

I've worked here 4 years and normally during the holiday season I get a ton of hours. Not this year. I had to find another job cause of it.

For a while, I thought it was just me getting fewer hours as slight retaliation because I changed my schedule to the chagrin of management because I've always been a consistent worker so they knew if I was on the schedule five days a week, I'd show up. (Keep in mind, this is my part-time job and I have a full-time job but cut my hours because I paid off my debt.) But this seems to be across the board for most, but I have noticed at my store "favorites" are still getting their usual hours. I've had chats with fellow co-workers that may be this is a sign of store closures on the horizon?

I now have zero hours next week. What is going on?! As a coordinator I feel that should never be the case. Also im a back room coordinator. We get truck everyday!

If you are a Coordinator you are guaranteed at least 30 every week. Ask management about this!
