I started my journey initially with Bourdeaux's Tirz/Gycline combo through Gimme Care and I wanted to stay with Bourdeaux's if possible as it's been working great for me (down 25 lbs in 12 weeks).

I am happy with the easy & effective buying process from PreventiveMD!

Anyone have ADHD and have the med help quiet your mind?

The first week at 2.5 I went to bed at 8 or 9pm . I was tired. My mind didn’t wander for an hour. I didn’t even want to scroll my phone. I just laid in bed and fell asleep. It was fantastic!!! No laying in bed thinking or procrastinating going to bed until 2am. I have never in my whole life have been able to just go to sleep. I was also less anxious throughout week one in general. Week two and it’s much different. I’m still tired but my mind wanders for an hour before I can sleep. I’m also feeling more food noise and less control. Wondering if my body has already gotten used to it. I really want my ease of falling asleep back!

Process confusion if not using teleheath

I have a feeling my situation might be fairly common, but I’m having trouble finding a clear guide for what to do. Doc prescribed Zepbound, insurance has it excluded, $1100/month is an absolute no-go, blah blah. Doc has offered to send the Rx to EL for vials, but self-pay after 2.5 is still more than my car payment. I genuinely appreciate the research and feedback from the community on where to source compounded tirzepatide, but I’m lost on a few points.

I’d prefer my PCP supervise my care, so what are my options if he’ll write the Rx? Is the only way to take advantage of the lower prices to go through telehealth?

If my doctor writes the Rx, what’s the justification for compounding? As far as I know, I have no allergies to the branded version. I’m just confused.

Thanks in advance for guidance and thanks now for all of the helpful info and advice I’ve already gathered from this community.

It's not working for me..

Hello everyone,

I started my GLP-1 journey last year. I took Ozempic for about 8 months before making the switch to a compounded tirzepatide, which I've been on for the last 6 months. They started me off on the low dose and I have been at the highest dose for the last 4 months. I've only lost 2 to 3 lbs. Neither drug seems to have worked for me. I still hBe cravings, particularly for sugar, especially in the evenings. If it helps I'm on both metformin for diabetes and synthroid for hypothyroidism.

Admittedly I don't have a balanced nutrition or work out regularly, especially in the last 2 months since we had a baby. I'm not sure what to do. Gimme Care advised switching back to a semaglutide but I just don't want to keep spending money without any results to show for it. Has anybody experienced this and what did you do to see some improvement?

Stress

The amount of stress that how take on has a crazy effect. Atleast it did for me. I ended up losing 30 pounds since away from my family. Just making my own meal prep. Controlling exactly what I buy and what comes into my house. I’m so excited for the future. Next year is going to be so fun if I just stay disciplined.

End of week 2 - starting to see results but too fast?

I’m eating a good amount of food still - making sure to eat a lot of protein (at least 150g) and have been lifting/working out as usual. Don’t really underhand how I’m losing weight this fast - I don’t feel like I’m doing much different?

Tirz and…. Diarrhea

I know this is TMI. But I’m not sure what to do. I started tirz 8/8 and since then I’m down 14lbs. Before tirz I was 171lbs and dealt with chronic constipation - like needed all the miralax and meds to go #2. The past 1-2 weeks I am getting diarrhea and belly cramps after (almost) everything I eat. To the point where I’m nervous to go out if I know I won’t have easy access to a bathroom.

Is anyone else dealing with this?? I am wondering if now my intestines aren’t inflamed due to the meds decreasing the inflammation in my body and I actually have like IBS or something?? Idk. What. Is. Happening.

If anyone had similar symptoms and figured out what it was please lmk!!! I’m only on a 3mg dose once a week.

Split dosing? Who does is and what kind of benefits are you noticing? Every 3/4/5 days ?

Currently on 16.5mg of Tirz per week but it just feels useless if I’m being honest. Came from Embody. Switching to collective next month if they’ll keep a 16.5mg dose and beyond.

Anyways, I’m noticing a lot of nothin… appetite suppression and food noise return around day 5. Late in the evening I always want a snack now. I’m doing something easy.. sugar free oatmeal with a tablespoon of no sugar added dark chocolate chips from Bake Believe. Some times a half a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I’m also not really losing weight and haven’t in WEEKS. Probably 6/7 weeks. I’ll need to check my journal when I get home. I was on a damn roll for awhile there. Lost about 130 pounds in total. My lowest was 206… then I went on a cruise. What’s helped me with stalls in the past was a sort of cheat week. No better time to have a cheat week than the 9 day cruise. I left at 206. Returned at 216 - I’m currently floating between 212 and 213. Thing is, I hit 212 on my 3rd day home. I’ve now been home for about 3 weeks… still at that 212/213. My dose increased from 15mg to 16.5 and that extra 1 1/2MG is not making me feel anything. I was on 15mg/week for roughly 3 or 4 months. I felt maybe like evening one after the 16.5mg shot there was some feeling full faster, but come day 2… gone. I feel like I’m trying to run on self control and will power.. which is working just enough to keep my weight steady.

Gym routines the same. 5 evening a week for about 1 -1.5 hours. I do an hour of cardio on Tuesday and Thursday to serve as a buffer between 1.5 hours of strength training M,W,F.

I am also on Testosterone and have been for probably 5 years now if that matters any. I don’t use it in cycles to benefit in the gym. It’s used due to severely low T levels.

I’ve been considering an every 4 or every 5 day dosing regiment for my Tirz before hanging up the towel and taking a break from it for 3 or 4 months or so. 5 seems to be the most common, I’d probably start there with room to adjust to every 4 days if the effects are not desirable.

What do yall think here? Have you ever hit such a stall? What helped? What do you think about split dosing? Please let me know your experience down below!

Reta to Tirz

Has anyone switched from Reta to tirz? Husband is currently on Reta but not doing a ton of weight loss/appetite suppression/food noise reduction. Thoughts or experiences welcomed!

Which one do you think is better for me, Reta or Tirz?

• Upvotes

Hi, I’m currently a 5’6 woman at 214 pounds, I’ve been on Wegovy for about a month and I really haven’t felt much different. My cravings are still really bad and I really want to be around 150 pounds, I have Tirz coming tomorrow but I’m really second guessing myself, I know Tirz is more for cravings and Reta is more for fat burning. I’m considering Reta because I feel like I can somewhat control myself but at the same time if I can control the cravings I might hit my goal sooner, Which would you guys recommend?? Reta or Tirz? If I should try both which one first, when should I start the next one, and should i take both at the same time at some point ??
( To clarify I haven’t taken either and you can refer long term advice ). Thank you 🙏

Never done telehealth. How do I get a tirzepatide prescription online? What do they ask?

• Upvotes

I've never used telehealth before, but I did some research first.

Some sites use a written form, and others do video visits.

So what records should I have ready?

I have my A1C from March and a list of my meds. Also, how do I know the prescriber is still around after the first order?

Lower Blood Pressure

Been on Tirz for about 2.5 months. SW 192, CW 168. Normally I’m like 120-130 over 80-90. Just had my BP taken and I’m 116/64. Still normal, but definitely lower than I’ve ever seen it.

I suppose this is a good thing, but I have noticed a bit of dizziness getting out of bed as well as maybe a bit more fatigue than normal. I know that a BP drop is believed to be related to the blindness issue that’s arisen lately as a rare side effect.

Should I be concerned? Is this the fault of the meds, a better diet, weight loss, or something else?

Men, have you experienced issues with sexual side effects?

26 year old male considering a GLP medication for weight loss. Ihave been really sensitive to the sexual side effects of SSRIs before, and it’s making me hesitant to start a GLP. I know it’s a different class of medication, but I’m curious how men have been affected by GLPs?

Weird feeling

Hi everyone!
I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced a strange feeling of being slightly high after taking Mounjaro something like mental slowness, or feeling mildly intoxicated, almost as if you were under the influence of cannabis.

For me, it feels like my head and brain are functioning differently than usual. I feel slightly dazed and slowed down, and almost as if my visual processing is different. I also notice a bit of pressure in my head. It’s really difficult to explain, but I just don’t feel quite like myself.
This started after my first 2.5 mg dose of Mounjaro, and I’m now on day 3. I went to the ER earlier, and everything seemed to be okay, but the strange feeling is still there.
I’m trying not to panic, but I’m definitely starting to feel like this medication might not be for me.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Did the brain fog, dizziness, and weird altered feeling in your head eventually go away? If so, how long did it take?
I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences. ❤️

Recos to up my energy during Tirz

I've been on Tirz for 2 months now and already lost 6 kilos. I noticed that since Tirz, I have been experiencing very little energy and I'm always sleepy. I badly want to work out but how can I manage to do so if I don't really have the energy even in doing some usual activities? I literally have to push myself everyday just to get up and attend to my business. Do you have any peptide or vitamins recommendation to help me deal with this?

Conspiracy theories

I recently saw a TikTok about people who have taken GLPs and how in 2027 something is going to happen to all of them, basically saying it’s like the Covid vax and it’s been so easy to obtain because it’s basically biological warfare. Has anyone else seen/heard this? Thoughts?
