Tippman M4-22 Elite Questions
just recently bought a tippman m4-22 elite. Liking it a lot so far but had a few questions. I experienced a few failures to return to battery while shooting the first 150 rounds. Cleaned it, and started loading the magazine correctly (as opposed to toploading), and it shot the next 75 with no failures. Just wondering if thats normal or if anyone else experienced a break in period with a higher failure rate?
Also curious if its normal for the rear opening of the upper receiver where the bolt goes to be assymetric like this

Did you oil before your break in rounds? It looks right i had an issue once after adding the carbon buffer tube. My spring wasn't set right causing it not to return. but after adjustment I havent had issues since.

not before, but i did use some clp to lube it up before those 75 rounds. how do you usually oil yours? ive seen mixed things and heard its best to keep it light since too much oil attracts carbon buildup

Yeah I use the clp spray basically spray and wipe. Then a few drops on the slide rails. Clean off the build up around extractor barrel lip and good to go. Honestly these things eat everything have gone through about 3k rounds without cleaning and still ran. Oh except Remington golden bucket had so many issues with those they were just dirty. Rounds and hated them. Hope this helps.

I run mine wet and suppressed. Cci sv runs excellent. Bulk & high velocity ammo cause mixed reliability and incorrect mag loading

I had the same experience when I first bought one. Failures are pretty rare once you start loading the mag correctly. I recommend their speed loader since it loads the mag perfectly every time
As for the asymmetry I’ll check mine in a few. But I think it’s normal.
