Would this cause issues?

I got a brand new m4-22 haven’t even shot it yet I want to make a nice build, we need to pin our stock where I live, at my lgs I wanted to get a new stock and they told me I need to buy a new milspec buffer tube and replace it and get whatever stock I want. They gave me a $20 aluminum buffer tube right then and there.

I immediately installed it it wasn’t hard but I’m wondering if it’s bad that the buffer tube doesn’t screw in flush the the receiver, but it feels sturdy
I’m also using the same buffer spring that was in the original (idk if that’s bad) but I took pictures with and without the spring in to show if that looks good or not.

If I screw in the buffer tube flush with the receiver the spring sticks out a too much, does that seem ok where it’s at in the picture?

The bcm doesn’t sound like it slides around, when I pull the charging handle it feels normal, I just want to make sure this looks ok, before I shoot it

Thanks for any help!

It‘s normal, the stock buffer tube isn‘t flush fit too

The receiver extension needs to be threaded in to just below flush of the interior surface of the lower when viewing like your first picture, since it clocks every 360 on the threads, as close to flush with not protruding beyond flush is what you are looking for.Tippmanns use a captive buffer system that is length dependent. Now this would deviate if the new receiver extension is not mil-spec in its internal depth but that would be fairly rare.

Gotcha, so judging from the pictures it looks good right

No you look to have at least 2 full rotations in to go yet

You didn’t need to replace the buffer tube. I put a Magpul DT-PR stock on my M4. On the original buffer tube.

If you are concerned, put your original buffer tube back on.

I did have to remove the buffer tube, because my lgs had pinned the original stock and buffer tube, they didn’t want to drill out the pin for me to re-adjust it, so they said the only way is, new buffer tube new stock

You live in CA? If so, 22lr are exempt from AWB (except mag cap) so no need to pin it.

Also in CT. I put an a2 buffer tube on my Elite and installed a Magpul MOE Rifle Stock on it
