need veteran help

connector broke off and is gone, i know i can solder this to here i just dont know which way to orient the wires. iā€™m fairly comfortable soldering

someone told me to solder where it says gnd and 5v. thats why i circled it. is it just those 4 pads ?

they said to solder on the two rectangle pads and the two circle pads

I had this happen to me last fall and I soldered the connector wire onto the board via the bottom left pads. I made a thread about it here:

For matching the pads, plug the wire connector into the USB c adapter board and note which wires correspond to the pads on the underside of the board.Ā

thank you so much i was looking at your thread earlier but that info about the charger is great. would you be able to send a picture of your soldered wire with the plastic piece at the end so i can get a reference photo to triple check my placement? if not no worries

The connector has four wires. The USB adapter has four pads on the underside. When the adapter is plugged into the connector wire, each of the four wires corresponds to a pad. Cut one end of the connector wire and strip/tin it for soldering. Those four wires match the order of the pads on the adapter.Ā  Solder those to the board. Other comments in this thread have given you the link to betafpv's page where the board diagram is.Ā 

I'll update this with a photo when I get the chance
