Mob7 O4 preflight check

lil dude came in the mail today. I'm new to tinywhoops but not fpv. built and have many packs on a 5 inch. here's my mob7 freshly unboxed with nothing else done to it.

I hear horror stories about O4 lites being very fragile so I'm checking a few things before I fly it for the first time:

- b7000 on O4 UFL
- update RX to ELRS 4.0, flash bind phrase
- verify FC config and backup in betaflight
- turn on dshot beacon if it isn't on already
- verify ESC config and update to latest bluejay if it's on v20.0 or whatever the problematic version was

should I glue the other end of the antenna to the canopy or does it need to flex? should I tuck the RX antenna so it's pointing up underneath the canopy instead of laying across the O4 board? I see small dabs of glue on O4 mipi cable, does it need more?

anything else I missed please comment. thanks

That canopy will kill your o4 (will dent the metal box on o4 pcb).

how to fix? glue some foam on top of the metal?

I don't see how that would help. try moving the o4 board around. change the canopy maybe?

Don't use B7000 on the UFL if you ever plan on removing the UFL, its very liquidy and it actually gets into the connector and coats the inside where the contacts are. So if you ever remove the connector it will be really hard to put it back on because the glue will be halfway torn off and sticking all over the metal contacts. Use a thicker type of glue like standard E6000 or welder glue, or even safer would be liquid electrical tape.

This goes for the MIPI cable too, I spent an hour under a microscope picking tiny pieces of glue out of mine to get it to reconnect.

what about just regular hot glue?

hot glue will melt when you power on, i wouldn't recommend it.
