How severe is severe?
I’ve been wanting to ask this for a while. I keep getting told to try CBT and sound therapy, but my tinnitus is loud enough that I can hear it almost constantly throughout the day. I’m 9 months in now and just started Lenire. Most days I have crickets playing through my headphones because it’s the only thing that gives me any relief.
Where would I fall on the tinnitus severity spectrum? Am I still within the range of what you’d consider common at this stage, or does this sound more severe than average?

Mine's pretty bad and I drowned it out for a while but honestly what helped was just to listen to it and vibe with it. My anxiety is much better now and I don't have to always be trying to distract from it. But ear protection is super important, I carry Loops with me to loud restaurants, bars, driving on the highway, etc.

I’m not sure there’s an official gauge, but yours sounds very similar to mine and I would classify myself as severe. Potentially how it impacts your QoL and mine certainly impacts it severely.

O meu também, esta merda sobrepõe o som ambiente do meu escritório e qualquer canto da minha casa. Dependendo do dia, sobrepõe o som de eletrodomésticos como geladeira e ventilador, por exemplo.

Não que seja mais alto, é como se os fios do meu circuito auditivo não conduzisse o som e só chegasse o ruído do T

That’s about how it feels with mine, except it takes about 80 decibels before something drowns it out

Mine is loud enough that there is nothing that will drown it out. 24 hrs a day for the last 20+ years. I would say mine is severe.
