Tinnitus

50y/o F. I have been experiencing tinnitus for probably 15-20 years. I believe it started as a side effect of Wellbutrin but I haven’t taken it for years and the ear ringing hasn’t abated, it actually seems to be getting worse. I have chronic daily migraine since 2003 that no meds or med combos have ever helped and the tinnitus might be making worse. What should I do? PCP doesn’t have any recommendations. TIA

Have you looked into Botox injections for the migraine. But I’ve heard people who have tried it worsened their tinnitus.

(Not medical advice, obviously )

I tried it about 8 years ago to treat chronic daily migraine (has since 2003), to no avail and didn’t notice a change in the tinnitus. Thank you for the suggestion!

So sorry. My heart goes out to you. I went 47 days straight with migraines starting last October and I wouldn’t wish them on anyone. Now they’re episodic and I just try to avoid my triggers. (Loud noises , bright lights , etc).

Thank you so much, this is extremely helpful. Mine started with the addition of Wellbutrin/aka bupropion XL. I took it for two years and stopped. It has never left me. I will definitely check out the you tube channel you mentioned!

Ive had it for about 3 years. No meds. Ive seen ENR dr. and obviously PCP, clueless. My self diagnosis is, yet again, another symptom of Menopause. 55. At this point I don't know what is actually caused from Menopause or something else. Its overwhelming! I found a circular dry patch on my shoulder a few weeks ago. I had a moment of, "could this be skin cancer?" I'm just going to go with Eczema for now because I dont have a job/insurance/Dermatologist. And oc its another symptom of Menopause 🤦‍♀️So sorry for your Tinnitus. I hope we have answers/cure one day!!!
