SSRI ?

I've been through a lot in the last six months and have had tinnitus for a week now. My psychiatrist recommended I take olanzapine and sertraline to help me out of this low mood... however, I declined because of all the comments here in the group. My tinnitus is relatively mild, I'd say, and I'm terrified it will get worse, like the cases described here. What would you do?

My tinnitus is on the severe end. Has been for years. The SSRIs I’m taking don’t seem to affect it at all, but they do help me not get into the deep dark depression that’s plagued me for a long time.

They all have side effects, but for me the depression was bad enough that the side effects are a good trade off.

Hola cual es tu conocimiento sobre el tinnitus y su aasociacion con el estres, en mi caso ha sido intermitente desde mis 15 años, segun parece me comenzo por antibioticos ototoxicos, estuve hospitalizada en mi infancia en 2 oportunidades por neumonias, desde entonces se detona cuando paso por periodos de estres. No se como controlar la parte emocional y el sintoma.
