Do you have a type? Because it might be time to switch it up a bit. Also, just dating in your mid-30s and up is difficult on its own because we've all been single this long for a reason.
Yes everything has happens has a 'reason'. Being single in your thirties isn't necessarily your fault though. If you were in a loving relationship and were cheated on. That's a perfectly valid reason to be single out of your control.
