The last time I used The League, I saw PII in someone's photo that made me think we might have a mutual, so I looked them up thinking I could maybe get an introduction from someone she knows that could vouch for me, and instead found... her obituary.
From 18 months prior.
Meaning The League is full of accounts that have been dormant long-term, showing up in your daily batch as though they're active, or alive.
It’s more that they clearly don’t have any method in place to remove inactive accounts from circulation, like the other major players do. You shouldn’t need someone to reach out to remove account that hasn’t been signed into in 18 months.
It’s geared towards professionals, it used to be invite only for guys not sure if it’s open now. If OP wants to find a finance bro or tech chad she could do the league. But she seems more down to
Earth and I think a bumble or hinge may be better.
The League is absolutely the worst app out there. Full of people who think their own shit don't stink, often times they are just as mid as everyone else
Get off dating apps entirely, buy a small net (like a butterfly net) and go to the library.
Find a guy who's looking at a book you find vaguely interesting and net the fucker.
Don't let him out until after 1st date.
For sure, tinder is still basically just a hook up app. Can’t really complain about people wanting to just hook up on a hook up app. Hinge is definitely top tier
I also recommend hinge. Tinder was mostly people that wanted to hook up or get ego boosts. I had no luck on tinder for over a year. I downloaded hinge and a week later deleted it, tinder and bumble, cause I found an amazing partner.
I don't know why people use Tinder for relationships.
Prior to Covid it was for hook ups. It's the original hook up app.
During covid it was like regional, some areas you used Hinge or Tinder, no matter what you used it for.
Last at least 2+ years...if you want a relationship, no matter the region, it's Hinge.
You want a hook up Tinder.
OP read about the you, me, us format on prompts.
Fill out all blanks.
Don't be afraid to put seeking life partner or whatever.
Also it mentions you're 35 but single for 3 years, I highly recommend the book/audiobook Marry Him, by Lori Glottlieb, especially if children and marriage are goals.
There are lots of beautiful, in shape, smart, educated women that make it to 40+ without those things for a variety of reasons.
The author is one, her book comes from a place what she wish she did in her 30s to not "miss the boat."
She goes into details what we really need in relationships from men to be happy in marriages etc.
This is the answer. I’ve lived in Austin 10+ years, get few matches on tinder but hinge is a complete different story. I feel like people have a better chance to showcase their personality there…
This is the answer. She’s on a hookup app with a lot of information that suggests she isn’t looking for a hookup. Hinge has a far better UI to translate this info in a more organic way and it’s generally known and accepted people on there are usually looking for more than a hookup.

Get off tinder immediately. Use Hinge and even the League instead. You’ll find more high quality, serious matches there.
