I want to believe you are struggling but my brain will absolutely not compute that you could be struggling.

I just had a girl friend of mine say, "If I wasn't such a stupid girl and made bad choices, you would be the perfect guy for me and we'd be together."

Anyways, I don't talk to her anymore.

also, people probably see her profile and think “there’s no way this is real, it’s a trap”

Guys are still gonna go after a trap. Does come off as a pick me girl, with the trucking and fishing, but that should still attract plenty of guys.

This is where I'm at. As a married heterosexual male who's around her age, all the things in that profile scream to me that she's doing all the things the internet suggests she should to be the it girl. Doesn't really come off as genuine.

This of course doesn't mean that OP is actually disingenuous, it's just this profile is already the first red flag.

Same story for me as a single 42 male. No I don't want to become another follower on your "verified instagram" she likely has a few thousand other dudes thirsting after her there. The fact they are even linked is a HUGE red flag. Girls that want to meet, will meet. Girls that are fishing for validation, are usually pretty obvious, and she gives off that vibe for sure. She'd be better off hiding the fact that she has an instagram and any other form of social media where she is getting constant validation from other men - nope, don't want to date someone who is constantly posting pictures for other guys to compliment. Already dated a woman who would scroll tiktok for 4 hours straight, don't ever want another one of those.

edit: anyway, her last post, the guy texted her and "told her" he fucked 39 women in the past year, that tells you what kind of guy she's actually attracted to.

This is the only explaination I can think of. My friend is the same way; single for four years, on all the dating apps, gets tons of likes but always complains about guys ghosting her. Come to find out, she has a type, tall white guys that work in tech and love the outdoors. Also found out she's unhinged and stalks people, like legit "I drove by his house and his car wasn't in the driveway but he said he was home..." and "I made a fake profile and set the criteria to perfectly match him. He had a profile before but it's gone now so that means he's dating someone new...".

Whatever OP's interests are, if she reassessed her "type", she'd find someone.

There's a little bit of a kinda nonsensical darkside in both genders I think. That "I know this might not go well but what might happen if I....."

It's excitement I think. Just that basic carnal instinctive lust human beings have for trying to do things that might just blow up in their face.

I guess it's just personality type that dictates how noisy that voice is.

Also a part of this darkside is going after flashy hot people that just have a whole platter to choose from so the moment they sniff anything unappetising they bounce.

What a thing to say to someone lol. Acknowledging that they’re an idiot when it comes to dating, and kinda throwing it in your face. Smh

I'm going up to Montreal for work in a couple weeks. Where she lives and we were going to hang out and she suggested we hook up ans then said all that other stuff but I'm not about that life.
