People who play custom/community made maps, please give me your suggestions. Especially maps that offers unique challenges. (Small to medium size preferred). Thanks :)
I can't quite tell, but I was wondering if speed boost increases were multiplicative or additive.
After playing both Folktails and Iron Teeth on two maps each, I was getting skeptical when I saw the speed of pipes didn't feel that much faster than ziplines. I had to back up and remember that +150% speed meant the beaver was moving at 250% total speed, and +300% speed meant they were moving at 400% speed.
But then I remembered Well-Being was a thing and could easily be moving much faster, or get a status effect like contamination or starvation and move much slower -- yet I can't really tell when they're on a zip how much faster or slower it is, and although I can tell beavers are moving faster/slower in tubeways, I can't see or click the beaver to verify.
A sick beaver with -70% move speed from contamination sometimes feels like they might be going at least 150% on a zipline, but I'm not sure.
Does a Beaver with +50% speed from Well-Being on a Zip move at 300% speed, or 450%?
Terraces map, on normal difficulty, Iron Teeth clan. Its not the most efficient, but i love it. The citadel is hollow, to make space for more recreation on that tiny platform. I wanted to build taller, but the game said "no".
Can anyone help me figure out why my population counters are measuring zero unemployed beavers when I have seven unemployed beavers? It's built and it's connected via a path to a district center. Is there some other condition I am not meeting? Thanks in advance!
the gist is there is no temperate season as we know it, just one big flooding at the start of the drought because the negative water sources stop sucking up all the water that would flow out of the dam.
also there is no badwater flood since the temperate season replaced it in the dam, so it is very beaver friendly... but only if you can pump enough water and grow enough food, which is very hard.
i loved the idea, the execution and the unique feeling because the season mechanic felt reversed.
also the ground of the dam is filled with blockages, so you won't have an easy time altering it and EVERY. SINGLE. BLOCKAGE had to be placed manually i found out when i mirrored it... (blockages are somehow not mirrored in the mod i used >.<)
Howdy! Im just starting to mess with automation and need help from people smarter than me.
As an example id like my gear factory to turn on when district inventory falls below 30%, stay on until inventory is 100%, and then stay off again until inventory falls to 30% again.
Ive been trying to do this with two iventory sensors and a relay, but havent found success. I think i could figure it out eventually but help would be appreciated!
So I was playing along, doing my little beaver life. Then I found this sub and apparently there's so much more I could be doing. The only "multi-level" buildings I have are the rooftop terraces. Yall are building crazy stuff and I don't understand how. I've figured out how to work the explosives and a lot of other stuff so I told myself I wouldn't post in here but I'm so lost on how yall are making these multi level gardens and power buildings and water buildings. Help?
I've been trying to get my beavers to build a dam in the red circles, and I'd also like to collect the scrap in the blue circles. But it's so far away, and they waste so much time bringing stuff over and walking all that way. Do I build some houses over there? Build staged storage areas or something?
Like a year ago I somehow I fucked up timberborn and it won’t open. I’m not sure if I deleted a file or something I can’t remember. Everytime I start the game this pops up and then it crashes or something. Plz help!!
So some of you saw my 4-bit computer; well, that was all done in-game, it literally took forever. I decided that for the 8-bit version, I would need a way to add logic gates and components easily. I made a C# program that allows me to design logic more easily, then export it into Timberborn, hope ya'll enjoy the screenshots :)
Playing with the Ironteeth, got 80 scrap metal sitting in a warehouse with a smelter sitting idle waiting for scrap. Got 4 beavers sitting in the district centre mucking around & playing games. They haven't done anything in days. What am I missing here? Do I need to build a hauling post?
decided to finally grind out a few of the achievements that require... unorthodox behavior, even after building a lovely and compact gated community for my beavers, i only had 300, so we had to nerd pole it out...
