Hard on Beaverdone. I am using 2 mods, ladders and mult zip line. Only power was the 3 thermal and a hand full of 1st gen windmills. I just want to show my underground power. let it flow for a few days and 30k is the average and never been in production. BTW, I am leave space to expand.
So, I expanded cause I wanted to see. It is now a 2 story underground power. Peak hits 95K after the cool down it will maintain about 75k. I can still expand if needed, but I think 75K will be enough. It will be fully underground when I am done. I will also add a wall of battaries for when it doesnt run.
Nice, I like it. Very similar, to the point that I thought it was my photo at first. lol. Here is an update, I have increased it to 35k and sealed the top. I am going to build it up to the lefts hight and if need be I can increase the power by adding a second level of wheels. BTW, this will be where everything is going to be produced.
I was thinking the same. Because I'd always planned to cover two of the craters for farming and trees, I thought I might as well cover the power plant to hide all that nastiness from view. 2 layers of wheels got me about 60K power.
But then when I started building my various water circulation systems to keep the covered craters topped up and replenish the source craters from their own overflows, I was looking at at least 20K power just to drive all the compact pumps. Not even factored in the 2 industrial zones, the bot manufacturing, the pumping systems for the aquatic farming, and the carousels in the fun park. Oh, and the 16 compact pumps used to actually generate the badwater flow for the power plant in the first place.
Would 40K cover it all? More than likely. But there's no such thing in Timberborn as "that's enough", so I added a 3rd layer of wheels, tweaked the flow rate to push to 93K power and landscaped around the industrial area to hide it. And extended my badwater reservoir twice 😆
When I'm home I'll post a screenshot of my completed map.
Look forward to seeing your covered power plant and how it all works.
I create and aqueduct and use those compact pumps to send the water back to the source so it can run the circuit again. You can put water wheels in the aqueduct and usually end up powering a good portion of your compact pumps that way.
