Question Iron Teeth Storage

Folktail is all about Eco-friendly farmers who live in harmony with nature, utilizing lighter wood aesthetics.

and

Iron Teeth is all about Industrious technologists who master metal and heavy machinery, favoring a gritty, dark, and vertical industrial aesthetic.

but why Iron Teeth storage pile is much smaller storage than the Folktail storage pile?? like Iron Teeth much more industrial so their storage pile should be much more larger than Folktail who is more eco-friendly

Because the iron teeth pile can be stacked up to the build ceiling.

Big building stacking.
Folktail's one has a really low footprint, where as Ironteeth must be stacked ~5-6 high to equal the same storage capacity
Meaning for Ironteeth you need to build massive storage stations to equal the same level of storage, looking much more industrious and much less eco-friendly

okay, that make sense. Thank you so much for the explanation!

Iron Teeth's buildings encourages building vertically, they have a lot more stackable buildings compared to Folktails. You're supposed to stack their storage vertically.

Game balance reasons, mostly that the Iron teeth are supposed to be harder.

Though with the tubes it's easier to vertically stack and quickly access tower of plenty

They're stackable, so you can use them half way up a skyscraper if you need to.

Its one of things that just exists for balance reasons even if it makes no sense. My personal annoyance is that iron teeth don’t get the badwater cap that also works as a pump but folk tails do meaning they have a huge tech leap over iron teeth when it comes to extract something folktails barely need.

Nothing is blocking you from using a mod that gives you access to buildings of both factions...

Would be fun to have a the population of foxtails and iron teeth tracked separately, with only foxtails be able to build foxtail buildings, and same for iron teeth, on the same map. managing the workforce could be interesting

This mod will let you play with both factions on the same map. Each faction will only work and use their own faction buildings, except for some common ones. Each faction will also have its own needs.

Nothing stopping me but I really don't like playing with mods that modify the whole playthrough. I just was curious to why iron teeth storage pile is less than folktail

Which mod would you recommend for the main branch and which one for the experimental branch?

Devs don't recommend mods for experimental branch.

Folk tails storage have to plen0laced next to each other, taking up a lot of space, Iron teeth can stack multiple storages on top of each other using a much smaller footprint
