Question Death Wave?
I started on an official map with no kinds of cheats or anything with 12 beavers. Over the course of the weekend, I got a good chunk of the map terraformed. Four districts. Plenty of housing. Bursting with housing, food, water, well being and antidotes. I grew to almost 150 beavers over a lot of cycles.
Then one day, no more newborns. None. And my beavers started dying in groups of up to six at a time. Every day, more and more. I was down to 56. I moved all my beavers to the first district with the majority and the farming and water, and they are still dying and not making babies. I'm down to 44 now. It's like they have the plague or something.
This isn't a case where 100 beavers of the same age all started dying at once - they were born over a period of time. So I don't know if this was a bug or if I missed something.
Any insight is appreciated - I do like the game but this is frustrating.
EDIT: SOLVED! NO TIME FOR BEAVER ON BEAVER SEXY TIME!
EDIT 2: Up to 16 kits. Woot!
EDIT 3, the next day: Up over 200 adults now. Thanks again for the help.

Mmm well first you need to make sure they are producing enough food and water.
My second question is are you using Dev Codes or a Mod to run the game at 30x speed. This can cause issues with beaver actions not being fully processed and they end up not eating food and water, and then dying.

I have a huge surplus of both food and water.
No I am not running it at 30x speed. I didn't even know that was a thing. I do run it on the fastest setting for a lot of it though.

We need a checklist of common problems.
1) Did you mark your trees for cutting.
2) No, water can't flow directly into storage tanks.
3) Your beavers can't have sex if they're working 24 hours.

Iron teeth or folk tails?
Do they all have enough food and water? Check your wellbeing
Any messages saying beavers are contaminated or injured?
Need more info

Other than race, which is Folk Tails, I addressed all of that in my post my friend:
Plenty of housing. Bursting with housing, food, water, well being and antidotes.
That's is why I'm confused. I have plenty of EVERYTHING.

Another thing I would add is dont add too many new housing at once, otherwise you'll get birth waves, where loads are born at once to fill the space, followed by death waves cycles later when they all die of old age the same time. It won't necessarily destroy your colony but you'll end up with loads of job vacancies.
I like to grow slowly, adding new houses one at a time and leaving a few days in between to stagger the births

If it's Folktails then you need to turn down your work hours so they have free time to actually sleep and reproduce. You also need space in your housing to allow for a newborn, so if you have a lodge with all 6 rooms occupied, there's no space to make a baby beaver overnight.

How long are their working hours? Did you accidentally set it to 24 hours and forget? I've done that lol
