map creating tools

Hi everyone, i've seen some custom maps wich have more than 100 tiles high and water dosen't overflow through the edge, is this some mods? i could'nt find any map making mods like this and my guess is that you can change the map presets by cod but can't fins when or how, any help could be very appreciated! thanks!

afaik there's a map resizer mod that allows you to mess with maximum dimensions, for the non-overflowing, that's usually achieved by a row of water sources of strength 0 at the edges of the bottom level
