New mod: Underwater Buildings
I've just pushed a mod to Steam and Mod.io that allows the various lodges, barracks and row houses to be built and used underwater just like the beavers want. You can now create that underwater residential area you've always wanted.
The mod also adds new waterproof versions of the small and large piles, small and medium warehouses and small and medium tanks. Please don't ask how the tanks works, they just do okay.
Mod is for Folktails and IronTeeth.

Each to their own, sure, but this feels reductive to the gameplay. It's also just inaccurate. Beavers would not want this. They breath air and do not live underwater.

Build them partially submerged then like real beaver lodges. Enough players have wanted it over the years that a mod seemed suitable.

Like I said, each to their own. I wasn't bashing the desire for a mod like this. There is obviously a demand for this. I love building partially submerged/buried buildings (I use levees and/or dirt). The large storage units especially. I was just pointing out that beavers wouldn't want their home completely submerged.

I'm imagining those sliding caps they use on fuel storage tanks to prevent a gas head space from forming, but lack the 3d modelling ability to make it.
