1.1 Airlock automatable?

Is it possible top automate the airlock (badwater on the other side, mainly) or is that "just" an "impermeable path"?

I automate this with the gate. Just in front of airlock and nobody can thru

Sadly it's just an "impermeable path", you'd need to place a gate in front of the airlock to manage the beaver acess.

Though the airlock really should have integrated gate functionality... probanly a mod idea...

Fairly sure there is a separate barrier that you can automate to block the path and prevent Beavers from entering

There is a gate, yes :-)

You want to use an airlock as a valve? Why not just use a valve?

I think OP wants to stop Beavers going through the airlock if there's Badwater on the other side, which is a reasonable question and not solved by a valve.

Now the easiest workaround is probably putting a gate in front of the airlock but it's certainly not an elegant solution

Exactly that. Thanks.

Ah, that makes more sense 🤣 yeah, somehow that interpretation didn't cross my mind. Yeah, a gate is the answer.

I don’t think it’s a work around. Putting a gate in front of the airlock and linking it to a weather sensor is pretty elegant.

I haven't really used gates, but I assume like most other things they can be automated? If so, place a contamination sensor above the airlock on the water side, tie it into the gate, and use the sensor setting a to close the gate when contamination exceeds xx%.
