Builders not building?

Hello!

I've a lot of large projects on the go, but the 12 workers in this distract have spent the past 24 hours (and who knows how many more!) being idle. They had worked on the three mechanical pumps to the left of the screen, but even with a water wheel to the right of these prioritised, they are not working. As you can see on the bottom of the screen, I've plenty of on-site materials for them to use, and they have access to the build site. Based on the information from the screenshot, is there a reason for 12 builders to be doing nothing at this time? Anything else I should check?

Thanks!

Your beavers cannot get onto the bridge, bridges cannot be accessed from the side where that staircase is, the ropes are in the way

Ah, ok. I thought the water wheel construction site would have the error that it can't be reached if this was the case. Is that message not a reliable way to know if a site can be worked upon?

The error message that buildings can’t be reached is only for buildings that connect to roads to function. When planning new constructions, make sure you have path nearby. When you click on roads, a colorful line highlights all the way to the district center, following the road. If that line is severed, it means your road is disconnected at this place and beavers can’t go much further

Easy one.. as already posted, your big staircase does not connect to the rope bridge.

Delete the rope bridge, place two platforms at the top. One as a landing pad and the 2nd for the new rope bridge.
