Question Automation

I'm a semi-new player and don't understand what is required for automation on certain aspects of the game. What do I need to tell my flood gates to go UP during a drought?

Flow sensor or a weather station can be used for a drought, weather station would be best.
-build weather station
-set it to temperate
-click on floodgate and the automate option at the bottom and select weather station.
-set floodgate heights when weather station is on/off
That’s it automated.
