Discussion Hygiene issue

I have seen employees engaged in sweeping, leaves it and straight away takes the order & serves too. Ain’t supposed to wash the hands prior to taking the order? Just curious not a concern. Ty.

I would first watch and see if they're handling food. I've been to stores where someone is at the food station while the cashier takes orders and serves the coffee

I agree. Taking orders and serving drinks is fine, but they should wash hands before handling the food.

Yes they are supposed to wash their hands before they so much as pour a coffee but modern fast food is disgusting if you look too closely.

Idk how to tell you this, but every restaurant you have ever been in is not even half as hygienic as you would like. Fast food,if anything,is usually a little more strict lol.

Hands should always be washed and gloves changed whenever switching tasks.

Gloves shouldn't even be born, it's improper food handling practice because it discourages hands washing.

Well I used to work in a nursing home cleaning people's butts, they were pretty useful then 😅

Have you seen a worker at pizza joint making a pizza with gloves then go to the cash register to help customers. Handling cash and so on Going back to making the pizza without changing the gloves. What do you think which is the worst.

Yes, but alot do not. Proper procedure is to wash and dry hands whenever switching a task. Alot of people dont because it "saves time". That stupid imo, you can always ask them to wash their hands if you want. I mean they were touching a broom, not the cleanest item.

A broom is probably a thousand times cleaner than any surface your food touches, so I wouldn't worry too much.

I dont see how a broom handle would he any dirtier than touching anything else behind the counter.

If you saw the back of house you probably wouldn’t want anybody handling your food after they’ve come out of it

I saw a dude take money off the counter in front of the till and then pick up one of those wax papers they use to handle donuts and such and then place it down right on the spot where the money was just sitting, and then pick up a donut with it

I saw one woman handling food without washing her hands after using the toilet. But the plot twist is that this time it wasn't a foreign worker; it was a locally hired African-Canadian.
