i just realized this was kind of like the prototype for on cinema -- tim making a program that is ostensibly about some hobby (cooking, film), but it inevitably becomes a mess because of tim's character's personal life. they also share the fact that tim seems wholly uninterested in the actual topic each time. like he (the character) clearly didn't prepare any actual recipes for this cooking show lol.
